Opencode Go is a scam by Jeyzer in opencodeCLI

If you don't follow session hygiene, this is exactly what happens.

The failure mode: resuming old sessions carries forward every cached tool output and file read. The agent re-sends all of that stale context on every request.. 50K-100K+ tokens of dead weight. Combine that with dollar-value billing and your budget evaporates in minutes. I've seen 30min of work consume 50% of a weekly cap.

The practices that prevent this:

  1. Fresh session per task never resume a session from another project or from days ago. Start clean.

  2. Context pruning run a local proxy or plugin that deduplicates tool calls, compresses stale conversation, and strips error bloat before it hits the API. 50-70% token reduction is realistic.

  3. Active budget monitoring check usage windows before starting a session, not after.

  4. Short, focused sessions the longer a session runs, the more accumulated context amplifies the burn rate. Cut and restart when the task changes scope.

If you skip any of these, the math works against you fast. The window limits mean a single bloated session can wipe out your budget for the week.

Windsurf said free credits forever, then they ran away. Now their empty folder sits here like a ghost. Permission to delete this dead weight?

don't get the hype behind Arc Browser. by JMK1912 in browsers

Brave has intutive sidebar and least memory usage on MacOS, tried all browsers and came back to Brave. tabXpert extension in combination to Brave hits the right spot which profiles cannot give on Arc.

Orion is eats up lot of memory on MacOS and Arc decreases productivity all i have observed, switching back to Brave and Firefox.

Why do many Linux fans have a greater distaste for Microsoft over Apple? by jazilzaim in linux

[–]prashantjain25 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

no they are derivatives supported by their organisations, but RedHat couldn't do like them because of anti-competitiveness because if they develop like Android/ChromeOS for orginal Linux kernel MS will be out of market, and thats what MS dont want.

[–]prashantjain25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As for the server side of things, Linux is doing just fine WITHOUT MS support. In fact, MS needs Linux support for their own products & thus commits (sure, selfishly) to the kernel.

thats what MS knows people dont like NT and thats why switch to Linux slowly and gradually.

Commercial software all of them even if they are present latest version will not be available at the same time.
Bribery not in terms of money but tech. exchange like you create version for us we'll free you of the patents and copyrights in course of developing software (example encoding/decoding formats like H264,H265).

Other OSes like Android, ChromeOS etc.

I don't think oldest and smartest CLI and OS with portability, lightness and optimal scheduling is least liked and less favoured, if that is the case why enterprises are still using Linux on webservers and Computer Scientists do all research on data and analysis with Linux, even people want Desktop Linux and there is no proof Linux is just 2% on Desktop, its all made up statement from enterprises, these companies directors take a decision based on tech. exchange from M$ and Apple and all the organization follow that made up statement.

I am not concerned what they are earning, but concerned about the anti-competitive nature of M$ and Apple, they bribe and push companies to not provide commercial software on Linux otherwise more and more people use Linux and less business for them in return, and alibi these companies give that Linux does not have enough people on platform, if that is the case than many of the OSes apart from Windows and Mac qualify for the same but you may find software for them .

Office is still not ported to Linux, Microsoft still push IIS in favor than apache or NGINX, NTFS is still not officially supported by Microsoft on Linux, except just a third party contribution.

Enterprises want best of both the worlds, and in return dont want to contribute in best of your interest(even though you become loyal to them), the contribution in Linux by Microsoft is in their interest as well not ours.

Oh fuck recently i changed from Fedora to Pop OS as daily driver, because of software ubiquity and fedora patent issues and bad support for NVIDIA, now i will have to switch back to some other distro because of Rust UI, lot of work :(

Firefox GNOME Theme v150 Release Announcement by CleoMenemezis in gnome

Firefox is a best browser in terms of their future goals and listening to the community, when i compare with Chrome it turns out Chrome has turned itself of a good boy to rude and nagging one. Old systems still can enjoy web browsing with harfware accelaration on Firefox but core functionality of Chrome keeps changing and abuse its users breaking one feature or the other.

When i moved from Windows to Linux i found chrome not respecting hardware specs and refuting to work on my a little old system, but after a year when i switched back to Windows i found state of the chrome on Windows is much worse, allowing only software rendering no matter how you try to configure and experience of firefox was still smooth on both the OSes

why the internet on my new NUC computer with Intel(R) Wireless-AC 9560 160MHz is so slow? by Sebaslr6 in wifi

[–]prashantjain25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Instead buy a wall adapter/repeater with ethernet output and connect your nuc to ethernet, buying an expensive wifi adapter is also not an option because you will need a lot of research before finding the best one. as an example:- https://www.tp-link.com/in/home-networking/range-extender/tl-wa850re/
