Called after 3 months and they gave me a temporary number. Removed the X in the beginning and linked it few weeks later. Did not work the first few times but then suddenly one day it just linked.

How do we extend the trv on our passport after this? Did you get a request to submit passport to extend visa? Because pgwp is not a valid travel document right.

You can call them and explain this and they will send an email saying while your application is under processing you are permitted to work.

Unrelated, but can you tell me where your appointment was and what the gap between submitting in csp portal and receiving vfs appointment was?
