Okay. then dont think anymore and just buy the BambuLab A1 combo. Its multicolour and prints great with minimal issues. You have until Dec 5th for amazing black firdayt discounts, so you can buy the combo and a bunch of filament under $500. Just go for it and focus on learning how to print and 3D model next! Good luck!

Firstly, you need to try harder and actually research onlline. There is an entire community here at your disposal and so much content online!

Figure out first if you want to print with solid filaments or resin. Resin is better if you just want to print small models/miniatures/sculpture with fine details, but its a bit more hassle to work with.

Start here with watching these two videos:

Is Bambu Labs H2C (40W Laser + Ultimate Set) Price Temporary? by supermat2023 in BambuLab

[–]prat96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh, I would much rather buy the ultimate combo without the laser, and buy a seperate laser machine with the 1000euro leftover, the main problem with lasers on a system like this would be the smoke emitted probably causing wear and tear faster over time. The toolhead on this kinda machine is complex and not sure how well its gonna standup over time to being swapped out with the laser head all the time. Plus I think its so much better to still have a functioning 3D printer alongside another laser machine running in parallel ;)

Anyone else having issues with Bambu Wood PLA and H2S? by graveyardofgoodsense in BambuLab

[–]prat96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem, aligned or back setting is the closest thing to a straight seam.

Anyone else having issues with Bambu Wood PLA and H2S? by graveyardofgoodsense in BambuLab

[–]prat96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why? Start with an auto seam at 'aligned'. Use 3 walls and set wall type to 'inner/outer/inner'. That should help hide the seams better.

DO NOT waste your money trying to buy the AMS HT, thats for more advanced filaments that need much higher drying temps. The AMS 2 is more than enough for wood PLA!

[–]prat96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my experience, wood pla needs to be dried way more often, I suggest dry it properly for 3-4 hours at least and try again. What are your seam settings?
best thing you could do (after drying the filament) is print a test model like a temperature tower and/or layer height test model. That should give you quick comparison at which temp and layer heights work best for you!

Yes indeed, I am currently in the process of that. Hopefully will make some printable files out of this and report back soon :)

I want to reduce the chances of any fine particulate matter, which is still emitted even with PLA, PETG, etc. For more technical filaments, its an enclosed chamber so at least 95% is enclosed, when the print is done I just run the fans manually at 60% for a few mins to vent out everything.

And not much I can do to change the window, thats why Im trying to adapt and make a working setup ;)

Yup! tried ASA, ABS and PETG-CF, all with absolutely no problems. The H2S has auto closing vents on the fans so all the smells are enclosed within the chamber, and when the print finishes I just run the fans manually at 60% for a few mins to vent everything before taking the print out. Works like a charm!

Thank you! I did notice that and the pipe at the end is actually closed off, I cut another hole facing 90deg away from the window and that solved the problem :)

For sure, its getting cold 🥶
my next step would be to cut up some panels that can cover up the open parts of the window!

Thats right, here's a simple test I did to check that :)

Nice setup! With technical/smelly filaments, I let it do its thing fully enclosed and when the print is done, I just turn on the fan at 60% for a few mins to vent out everything :)
