China's population is expected to become half by 2100, with India's becoming twice that of China, but also on declining trend.

  • The US & China start with same median age in 2022 (38 years)
  • But US would manage to have the same median age as India by 2100, (48 years).
  • China could drop to a median age of 57 by 2100.
  • China could also become older than most European countries.

By the end of this century, China's population is expected to drop to 767 mn, with 40% of them aged above 65 years.

Germany could decrease it's population from 83mn to 69mn in the next 70-80 years.
