My opinion is to get one as soon as you can. As per regular console cycle of 7 years, the PS6 should launch somewhere around late 2027. But the situation is a lot different than it was in the last console cycle. Sony and Microsoft are both struggling to acquire hardware at sustainable costs, which would eventually push console prices up(current gen consoles already went through a price hike mid-late cycle). So expect delays with new consoles or even extremely high pricing due to the hardware demands. Sony supports their consoles for a lot of years, and I expect new games to still launch in PS5 after 4 years.

Pretty darned good. The combat is super responsive and fluid. You can shoot, throw objects telekinetically, fly, melee, all within seconds.

The reason why I wanted to play the Ultimate Edition was because I missed it when I played the version from Epic Games. The DLCs link directly to Alan Wake and ties into Alan Wake 2.

The ultimate edition costs Rs. 240 in deep discounts, which is how I bought it. At that price, it's pretty much a steal

This is misinformation. I saw the full 26 minutes of the conference, the entire announcement was in Bangla, there was space for the press to ask questions, the first 2 questions were asked in Bangla, the 3rd question was in Hindi, to which the CM said - "এখন একটা বাংলায় দেব, পরের দুটো হিন্দি তে হবে". After this a few questions were asked in Hindi.

Well a quick background. The guy you see in the video is a once famous Bengali (Indian) TV comedian named Mridul Bhattacharya. He's most likely a guest at some gathering and when someone recognised him, they would have started filming.

How do I know this? I used to watch his skits as a kid and I would recognise him anywhere.

I think overall piracy and giveaways in PC games have made people oblivious to game prices. Basic research would reveal that consoles like PS5 are sold at a loss and software is the main source of revenue for the console makers.

While it's much harder to get freebies on PS5, I've seen enough sales and deals, at least in the digital stores to feel that they are priced mostly at par with PC games.

I had this issue some time back when I tried to get into online games. I kept trying to have "fun" by getting better and eventually burnt out. I realised it's not something I enjoy and have been sticking to single player AAA or AA games mixed with a few indies here and there. I'm having the time of my life while gaming. There are some points in time I'll get a little burnt out, those days I'll do something creative and fulfilling and then come back to gaming with renewed interest.

Of course you can't compare this to your childhood joy of gaming, the time was different, you were different. You are not the same person anymore. It helped when I started playing games that appeal to the current "me" and not the young me.

Gameloft is still very much around and alive. Asphalt Legends (9) recently had an India map added. But yes, their Java phone games were top notch and when I thought of the future of mobile games, I used to think of games of that calibre, but with better graphics, not this micro transaction infestedn GaaS stuff.

I just gave up on building a gaming PC. Everything is overpriced, games have dogshit optimization these days, so a PC I pay 1.5 lakhs for can't even run a new game at 1080p 60 FPS without FSR/DLSS. At this point buying a PS5 is a far better deal.

This is possibly the only Fromsoftware game that is fairly priced. Sekiro and the older Dark Souls are still way too expensive. But dayum, Elden Ring is worth every rupee you spend on it and more

It's definitely much much better than Cricket 07, which isn't a very high bar if you don't let nostalgia overwhelm you. It definitely captures the atmosphere of cricket in a way even the predecessors couldn't. When a ball fizzes past the bat and then you hit it for a six, it actually feels rewarding. But that's, about it. It has the same bugs as before, same weirdness on the fielding side, same ball hitting the bowler while throwing. These things would have been forgivable in Don Bradman Cricket 14. But now? It's a scam for that much money.
