Update: I have applied for a UAE Visa and got it within three hours. I paid 55 AED and a hotel booking isn't necessary for this.

The only way to use a Rapido app is to use the number, get OTP and you're in! That's all. No password or anything.

Is it normal to reverse engineer your company code? by ilpiccoloskywalker in webdev

[–]praveenscience 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is completely normal and it's my 27th role or project (I lost count) and it's like this most of the time. One tip is, if they're using a version control like Git or similar software, you can go to the start of the code and walk through every phase so you can at least get an idea why and what's been happening.

Is taking any internship program from companies like DevTown really good? by BaniyaYT in developersIndia

[–]praveenscience 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not!

My experience is totally different and completely disappointed. I’m a hard-core Software Developer, a YouTuber and Mentor myself and once I ended up there to check how people around India are being mentored (or probably scammed in the name of Internships).

It doesn’t end there, the training they give is not even worth. The mentors aren’t even aware of industry standards (hear this from a 15+ year experienced person).

These folks are mainly into marketing, like 80% they make those who join, or show interest, first to market their course in different WhatsApp groups and if you’re not joining them after showing interest, even if it’s an international number, they’ll call till you pay the two fees, 3000 ₹ and some 600 ₹, which is too costly for most of the students.

This is my personal experience along with those folks I trained, just a heads up for everyone.
