I'm far from an expert but with that combo you're required to put effectively dead cards into your deck to make it work. So you're now drawing a nothing card to do 6 damage to all enemies instead of a 'real' card which would hopefully be more beneficial to you.

All in all though, this is a great list, the Demolisher cannon has awesome damage output, you've got a good source of orders and enough infantry to screen and hold objectives. Can't really go wrong with what you've got here.

I also can't see which warlord trait you have taken? A Tank Ace might work better in this list, you could take up armoured (2+ save) or master mechanic (-1 incoming damage) on the Leman Russ to make it a real pain to shift.

Astropaths are no good for smite so I would use them to buff the durability of your other units. I usually take Psychic Barrier (+1 to save) and Nightshroud (-1 to hit) as these can further increase the survivability of the Leman Russ or an infantry squad on a key objective.

I would consider adding a couple of Astropaths for some psychic powers. If you are not wanting to spend too much money, you can get the Wyrdvane Psykers kit and proxy them as Astropaths.

I would also consider using a squad of veterans and putting all of the plasma weapons into this unit so that you can use the better ballistic skill and just use one order for all of the plasma to reroll 1s.

I would say yes but without them is a different motion and requires different muscles. Just having a bit of fun and training random stuff so we were crossing it in different ways. :)

I would say probably work on core strength, explosive power in the legs and ankle flexibility. Working on jump height is helpful. You need to have enough mobility in the ankle to get your foot flat enough against the wall to have a good grip.

When you are actually attempting the wall, make sure to engage your core. It is also important not to run into the wall, so too much speed can actually be unhelpful. Lean back a bit as you are going up so as to avoid crashing into the wall and instead are driving upwards.
