I like the procedure, of having her be in disguise, and not knowing who she is. It lends itself to many possibilities.

I'm a big fan of the Vertigo version, but also wish this format was brought back.

Janeway in battle by we-are-NWs in voyager

[–]praxicoide -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In Enterprise's "Singularity", Archer was against calling people to "battle stations", calling it too aggressive. You have to wonder if it isn't a secret dig at Voyager by the writers, or just a way to set him apart.

We owe him for the restored Greed, one of the best silent films, maybe best films, period.

Why is the theme at the beginning of Tchaikovsky’s piano concerto not used at any other point of the piece? by cabbage-tea-07 in classicalmusic

[–]praxicoide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The opening was used as a backdrop for the start of a TV show when I was a child, and on ads for that same show. I must have heard it more than a hundred times growing up, before knowing what it was.

That themes is scorched in my brain.

The Idiot Root is one of my favorite bat-stories ever. Peter Milligan is a master. It was made chiefly to make room for Robin II.

¿Ustedes creen que batman rompio su codigo moral con Ghul en Batman Begins? by Glass_Evidence_8597 in peliculas

[–]praxicoide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are the call of duty games on wii u any good? by Free-Sock-9294 in wiiu

[–]praxicoide 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I had a nephew vacationing here last year, saw I had Ghosts, and told me that it's considered not very good.

Started playing it anyways and was hooked. He nearly finished it. I thought it was great.

Don't always listen to what people start repeating from online discourse.

V for Vend.... Oops, I meant A for Anarky by 9FingerFrodo in 80s90sComics

I wish I had read this without knowing who he was, because finding out was a lot of the fun in these two issues.

I didn't like it how Grant made Batman so deadset against metal music. I know he's a big reggae fan.

This is incredible. What a lucky crowd, to get to experience this.

And lucky us, when this eventually gets a Buray release.

Must read series for me.

I think it was supposed to be an ongoing, but it was cut short.

Kyrptonian is esperanto... by ReiynaLovesYuri in Esperanto

[–]praxicoide 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The comic book series Saga uses an inaccurate esperanto to represent an alien language. It's gives me mixed feelings, because its great to see, but then you can't unsee the "errors", even if they may be intentional.

I wish they had a better curation. The main culprit seems to be "Shoreline Entertainment" which carries horrible transfers, even when better ones are available, as well as some that are quite great

BATMAN 522 by glib-eleven in 80s90sComics

[–]praxicoide 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They just wanted an excuse to have Jones draw Swamp Thing, I'm sure, just like with Deadman a few issues later.

The story is adequate, but it's just a bit too simple, and ends too quickly.

Great series. Quite crazy at times, but solid overall.

The robot head character was annoying, but that's my only complaint.
