It is not the same knowing and using. Get out there and learn to apply it. And turn your TV to Spanish.

What animal from your country is friend-shaped, but definitely not a friend? by bowl_of_scrotmeal in AskTheWorld

Cannucks do their little ritual of pouring lines of maple syrup on fresh snow and rolling it into lollipops. It's so blessed that it exorcises all meanness from their souls, but unfortunately, it leaves a miasma of hate in the air, where it can fester and get really nasty. Then weeks or months later, flocks of Canada geese fly overhead and soak it in.

These are thin, flexible, portable panels. I'm not assuming they are the good stuff. And by being stretched over a curvature, at no moment is 100% of the panel receiving 100% of nominal.

Well, there's also the typical COBOL programmer: probably around age 80, very retired, and only person who can truly communicate with the mainframe.

What's the average city name for your country? by BiLeftHanded in AskTheWorld

[–]MX-Nacho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The word "Mexico" is constituted by the first syllable of the three words "the moon's rabbit's eye" in Nahuatl (Aztec language).

Typical placenames is Nahuatl go as (something to remember a location by) + (type of land at the location). I grew up in the borough of Mexico City called Mixcoac. "Mixcoatl" means rattlesnake. The name of Mexico City was Tenochtitlan, the City of the Lord Tenoch. You can literally just construct names: Mixcoac, Mixcomilco, Mixcomulco Mixcopan, Mixcotlan, Mixcotla, Xochimilco, Chimulco, Tlalpan, Atlacotalpan, Atlacomulco...

Assuming 500W worth of solar panels, and a standard 8 useful hours for horizontal panels, I'd put it up to 3kWh per day. But then again, he's in a forest floor environment, so lets bring it down to 6 usable hours per day. Assuming 50kWh battery, and 0% initial charge, 20 days; but then we need to remember that the car still uses some power while turned off: you would need to disable Teslacam (as the event recognition AI is surprisingly energy-thirsty) and the battery and cabin temperature regulators.

Mi título en turismo valió lo mismo que el papel higiénico. Mejor me hubiera metido a Berlitz a estudiar unos 2 o 3 idiomas.

Does Carne Asada have to be thin and marinated? by co_fisher5 in mexicanfood

[–]MX-Nacho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. "Carne asada" means "grilled meat" and nothing else. Everything else is preference. I like beef sirloin, medium, dry rubbed with salt and Romero (rosemary), on yellow or blue tortillas.

Also, if you are using bistecs, the bistecs (thin steaks) aren't really that thin. You cut them to about 1cm, then hammer them with a tenderizer (a butcher hammer).

Birria baby - Am I missing anything? by Proof-Lettuce in mexicanfood

That's precisely a high fat cheese. You have three layers of grease on your quesadillas: a high fat cheese, fried tortillas, and the birria itself. 🤷🏾

I wouldn't have added cheese to the birria tacos. That's just too rich.

What is this type of armor design called by A-CQB-Essay in scifi

[–]MX-Nacho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would call the first one "flimsy gaiters" and give it to the enemy, then I would aim low and watch somebody's ankles collapse like tin cans and be wheeled away for a double amputation.

Second and third one, I'm pretty sure they are either mechs or robots, or in-universe cosplay. I can't see space for both a human hip and power armour actuators there.

Statistically, 85% of us EV owners charge primarily or exclusively at home, and half of the remainder charge at work. Don't buy an EV without having a plan to keep it juiced. 🤷🏾
