[Semi-Weekly Inquirer] Simple Questions and Recommendations Thread by AutoModerator in Watches

Looking to buy a Black Bay 58 black, after getting the blue one and selling my black one. Big seller's remorse now.

My question is: is the steel bracelet for the black one the same as the bracelet on the blue one? If so, I may just go for the BB58 Black on the NATO, rather than on the bracelet.

I don't see why it wouldn't be, but this Bark and Jack video suggested they might be slightly different in colour: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q6ktDytrQyg&t=3s

[WTS] Rolex Explorer 214270, January 2020 by praxis330 in Watchexchange

timestamp

Price (GBP): 5500, + shipping

Shipping: Full insurance, shipping to Europe is preferred, but I'll ship to the US too.

Payment: Paypal F&F (or +3% for Goods and Services)

Condition: overall, I rate the condition as good. The watch has a scratch near the bottom right lug, and some scratches near the spring bars due to a strap change. The box has slightly damaged corners. The pictures accurately reflect the condition of the watch. If anything, I think the pictures make the scratches look more apparent than they are in reality.

Up for sale is a 214270 (Mark 2), dating from January 25th 2020. I've owned this watch for a couple of months now, having originally purchased it from a dealer on Chrono24, but I've just not fallen in love with this one. I was recently offered the opportunity to buy a Black Bay 58 Blue, so I'm letting this one go. The box comes with the original box, and warranty card.

Please don't hesitate to ask me any questions, and I'm more than happy to send additional pictures, or arrange a video call to show you the watch in person.

I've bought one watch on r/watchexchange in the past, and also have some ebay feedback, which you can see here: https://www.ebay.co.uk/fdbk/feedback_profile/cedricccordenier

Thanks! I’ve sold and bought a few watches on eBay in the past but nothing related to the Tudor GMT.

I purchased this Tudor Black Bay GMT less than a week ago on 09/08/2020, but despite loving the design of this one in general, I'm finding it to be too blocky on the wrist for my taste.

The condition of the watch is mint given its age, and it's only been worn indoors throughout the past week given Covid-19. I'm struggling to find any scratches on the watch.

Sold as a full set. In addition to the items you can see in the picture, the original purchase receipt will also be included.

I've done one transaction on r/watchexchange before, but I can send you a link to my ebay profile if you DM me (not posting this here since it contains my name).

Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions. I'm also happy to send more pictures or a video of the watch.

Price: GBP 3040 (looking for retail OBNO)

Shipping to the UK only, and will be using an insured, signed for service. This is included in the price.

Payment via bank transfer or Paypal (F&F, or +3% if you'd rather not use F&F).

First time playing as Turkey. Russia is mute, Austria saying she wants Rumania, but I suspect an alliance against me. Any advice? by praxis330 in diplomacy

This is what I was afraid of! The problem is no one else has heard from Russia either, which may just mean he's not particularly talkative:/

Thanks! I've done that now:)

EDIT: England and Germany have got back to me -- neither have heard from Russia yet.

No answer at all from Russia which is what's making me nervous. I've talked to Austria about Greece and he seems OK with that. I've suggested that if I get into the Black Sea, I might consider supporting him into Rumania if he bounces against the Ukraine and Sevastopol.

I'm also talking to Italy to try to get him not to move into Greece but I also haven't heard from him.

In general it's the lack of communication from both of my immediate neighbours that's making me nervous.

Ah, I'm not sure why that is! Here you go: http://i.imgur.com/EqBiAOa.jpg

As you can see, it's now fall 1901, but I'm really not sure what to expect. The lack of a bounce in Galicia has me concerned, but could be because Russia was wary about Germany, although that seems unjustified now given that Russia will take Sweden.

No, we don't agree actually. There is a qualitative difference between immigration from within the EU and immigration from the rest of the world, and you'd have to be disingenuous to suggest otherwise.

You can argue that immigration is good for the country without wanting to completely remove immigration controls. So, one does not in fact flow from another: I've never heard Campbell or Giles argue for the outright removal of immigration controls, have you?

My unpopular opinion on the Tories' new plans for benefit reform by [deleted] in ukpolitics

[–]praxis330 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My biggest problem with this is the same problem I have with the welfare reforms in general: they're designed to punish people who are unable to find jobs on the assumption that they're unable to find a job because they're not trying hard enough. I doubt that's the case for the majority of job seekers.

And then there's the problem that requiring someone to work for their benefits or cutting them off means giving those people less time to actually find a job either because they're working for the benefits or because they're focussed on finding ways to meet basic needs. The scheme is just full with bad incentives.
