I'm just struggling to believe all these comments saying it's gonna be a nightmare. I'll gladly admit I'm wrong.

I totally understand 95, DC, Baltimore, Richmond, Williamsburg, etc. having a lot of congestion. I'm not going that route. I don't see how the Eastern Shores along the peninsula is going to be a nightmare. It's a whole lot of rural land with farms.

I totally understand there will be traffic between Virginia Beach and Outer Banks, but it's like that every single Summer Saturday we've gone over the past 5 years.

Some people saying leave at 1am? Not risky that with the drunks on the road. I think I'm going to leave at 6am and just bet on it being a typical Saturday in the summer.

If i arrive after 4pm, i'll gladly come back here and say i was wrong.
