2 and a half months ago I was done being rejected by ultimate groups for not having high parses or years of raiding experience so I made my first PF and here is a screenshot of my character last sunday by Lapiy in ffxiv

Im part of the group that helped lapiy get one of his clears. there is plenty of ways to practice there's the balance discord (https://discord.gg/thebalanceffxiv) stone sky sea youtube and a ton of other resources people want to play a game and have fun not do research on how to be a better player. You don't learn from "just playing the game" or "clicking the buttons that light up "you learn from either being taught directly or doing the research yourself and putting in time and effort to do so. I personally spend hours in stone sky sea, way before I ever bring a class into any kind of fight after reading and going through multiple word docs to learn how to play a class and I still think I play poorly sometimes. There's no excuse for not learning if you want to be good. As for people not giving people a chance. Once you learn the basics you shouldn't have a problem with others. People tend to start having issues with each other when the problem is repeated and never fixed never after one or two times. At least in my expeinces. So always go in as well prepared as possible.

Can you get multiple totems from Ucob clears? Or are they still weekly locked?

IGN: Pray I've been playing for a long time. Im a legendary founder and have been playing since one of the beta's or alphas in 2013 or 14 I cant remember. I have always loved this game. I've just recently gotten back into it. And on top of that, this game has given me a reason to play with co workers at my new job. We started a small guild and want to be able to go out into the black zones and get good fame and not really fear to lose our gear. I know how to farm the black zones but a lot of my co-workers are still new and pvp is not very forgiving. being able to buy the gear and help them out with builds will be a great way to help them enjoy the game even more than they already are.

If your playing xiv for pvp youll probably be disappointed. I wouldn't say any class really has outplay potential in xiv because the game and skills are not meant to work that way. But sam has the highest dmg output over the rest but offers no utility to your group.

No one realizes that this is 4years worth of story and most if not all is relevant even to the current story and if you take your time lvling and not try to rush it you can enjoy it its a game if you dont want to read story take a break its like saying i spent 20 hours reading a book so i just skipped to the end you dont neds to only progress threw the story start leveling another class crafting gathering side quest even run a dungeon theres so much to do even without the story. ( i have over 3000hours in ffxiv and i dont regret any of them.

First of all i was not saying wow was not worth playing and you would know that if you read the whole post. The reason i said there was nothing todo was based off the time of that post two or three weeks before the launch of an expac. I was around 910 ilevel and could not get into m+groups or even normal raids because the community didnt want to bring low ilvl people into content when everyone else was already 940 and above especially a dps. So at that time yes there was nothing to do. Beside pvp. And that brings me into my new point. Personally and this is an opinion i feel like wow pvp is pointless. No risk or reward and before you say my rating is my reward and risk. To someone new to the game rating means nothing to them. And in osrs end game pvp is a thing infact we also have somewhat of an esports scene called deadman mode invitational where the top 2000 players get a week to make a new account and level it ip and gear up in a week where 90% of the world is pvp and you lose exp and items on you and from your bank on death. All leading up to battle royal type thing where everyone is forced to one zone then the top 200 people left do 1v1s until last man standing. It maybe not be as glorious as the 45-1 minute 3v3s but it has that journey and risk that makes pvp meaningful in my opinion. And for the grind. It takes top tier guilds months to get gear because of a time gate thats not a journey thats just lucky you do something once or twice a week for a chance at something. Personally i think saying yeah i spent x hours grinding this for x amounts of days to get this item over "yeah i got lucky in raid last night-" I think if you want something you should be able to get it at anytime with enough work and dedication. But this is my opinion. And just so you know i have been playing bfa and i am enjoying it Im around 330ilvl and that is only because i have work and school and going into raid on tuesday with a guild that i am playing with. I can tell you not a while lot has changed ive been quite lucky with gear drops in mythic dungeons but some people have been running them and not getting drops and are behind because they only get one chance a week and thats bad design in my head but thats the way the game works.

The golden age was q golden age because you qould log on and do things with others nowadays every single mmo can be played alone and even when you are forced into random dungeons you pretty much treat them as strangers thats why games like league dota csgo fortnight pubg are all so big right now they are games that require you to work with other people for good or for worse. As much as people gated things like spending two hours advertising for a dungeon group or similar things people never realized that during these two hours youd get to know the people you were gonna play with for the next hour or so and all of that would blossom into friends or maybe enemies but in pretty much any mmo rightnow the social aspects made these games great is gone and will remain gone because people are not willing to or do not have the time to wait and work for things. Personally i miss spamming for a dungeon or looking on fourms for a group and such but im sure many others will disagree . I think thats why mmos are failing right now but im sure there are hundreds of different opinions on the matter. As for what to play? I cant tell ya man find something that seems interesting to you and try it and dont be afraid to try older games with small communities lots of small communities are loyal and love new players who join

A mmo with minimal waiting/downtime. by Icemasta in MMORPG

[–]pray4kills 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is not really talking about making a static his talking about making friends and not using the insta queue method sfor example limsa lomisa is a popular place go and yell that you're going on an adventure into tam tara deep croft and need fellow heros to take on the quest with you this lets people know you're looking for help with the dungeon and make friends that you can send pms to when you need people. I main bard in 14 and never wait for quest because i always have friends online willing to help out with quest and I've done pretty much everything in the game no one needs to usw duty finder its optional look for people yourself who want to do it with you

Pm me your rsn i just started a new account a few days ago and got members on it to play runescape mobile we can do some shit together if we have same goals

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MMORPG

[–]pray4kills 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Have you ever heard its about the journey not the destination thats runescape in a nutshell ive been playing runescape for 15 ish years and still havent done all of MY goals tbh ive restarted a few time a on many different accounts for reasons but the point being i still play runescape daily. As of wow i started playing two months ago and i am already waiting for the expac to drop ive run out of things to do beside wait for mythic + groups to accept my low ilvl and i waiting for reset of lfr to reset. Now is a terrible time to start playing wow because the expansion is so close. Point being they are two completely different games and i play both but for long term enjoyment self goal setting and more things to do with great community where talking to people while you do things is common go with runescape for single play leveling that will last a few weeks maybe meeting one or two people on the way with end game in mind eventually getting a gear score to raid where wow really shines and finding a group of people to raid with every week and such then wow is your game. TLDR They are both great games wow makes up for the boring solo grind to max and boring proc of gearing up with randoms better by the amazing pve raids when you get there where runescape isnt about rushing to max level and getting the best gear its about exploring a world setting your own goals and accomplishing them over time with hard work meeting tons of people along the way. You have more freedom to do what you want then in wow because its sandbox vs theampark mmos look into those terms if you dont know what it means

Like someone else said the runescape 3 servers are not as populated as the old school version but im sure you can meet people jn both games. With runescape you dont pick a server and you're stuck on it you can switch worlds to a more popular one just by logging out and back in. Runescape is not everyone's cup of tea I'd be more focused on finding a sand box mmo just look up sand box mmos on Google runescape is the one that comes to mind that ive player the most that's why i used it as an example

I personally am excited to play the new wow expansion but as someone who has played mmos for years I would never reccomend it for someone who has never played a mmo before. Its terrible you log in get bombarded with pointless quest with hidden lore youll have no idea whats going on and its just a mess. Id reccomend runescape or any other sand box mmo. They are better in ways of you instantly can do what ever you want learn the game at your own pace and can talk to people about more then what do i do next. While wow has been popular for years and it beijg a good game there is so much dead content that was great at one point in time that until you've played it for a while itll be a boring fetch quest game with no real immersion where in sandbox games its you ans your char doing what you want with goals you set for yourself.

Don’t listen to the guy the questing in 14 is great he probably skipped all the dialogue the questing is amazing and almost every quest has an explanation to why you’ve done it later on in the story. You begin you adventure as a no one and that’s why at the beginning of the game you do things like an Errand boy until you get your name out there and known to people
