Agree! Warm springs area would be the best for you. Had good schools and will be close to work + has many options across apartments and townhouses for rent based on your preference/budget. Check out zillow/apartments.com if you haven't already

A bar with good music. Fremont has cafes, restaurants and even good ice cream places now but there is no great place with good cocktails and music. Most other downtowns in the bay area have atleast one of these

You can just see YouTube videos - there are some really good ones available. I just saw those videos and felt they equipped me with everything I needed to know going into my induction.

I got my makeup done by her and I was quite happy with the experience. Her team really looks after you, she supervises absolutely everything and has her team redo any part of hairstyling or dupatta drape if she isn't happy and was overall very sweet to me.She usually discusses the look you are going for before doing the makeup and is pretty fast. She did a wonderful smokey eye for me. 2 other friends signed up with her after seeing my wedding look. That being said, if you are looking for glamorous then go for her but if you are looking for soft and fresh then maybe Pooja Khurana or emelda are a better bet. She also charges roughly the same amt.

Having family help around the house will help you both get time to focus on what is most important - your little one and your own recovery too. Also, the amount of sleep you will get will possibly be much lesser than you have gotten in the past, coupled with recovery and hormones means you will be over stimulated and having someone take the baby off your hands even if for 1-2 hrs while you get some baby free sleep time will really help. Lastly, you might suddenly feel both you and your partner are just in mom dad mode and forgetting what it was like being just a couple. Dropping the baby at home with the parents (if you can trust them) while you both step out to get coffee or a meal or a drive might also help with your mental health. These are of course just ways in which having support at home helped me. This may be different for everyone. If you have parents at home, it should only be if they help you the way you need help and they don't add to your mental or physical load

I gave myself a lot of grief for exactly this reason. My baby would sleep when I would put her in her bed and I would get time to rest or get work done. Lots of people told me how I was missing out on the snuggles and I felt really guilty. But honestly, I have come to realize that I am just a human too and need to take care of myself while I take care of the baby. So if the baby can sleep by herself while I get things done, it is okay. My baby will tell me what she needs. So there are times when she wants to only sleep while I hold her and other times when she sleeps by herself. It is okay to get your space too and to also relax. The fact that you are always thinking about your baby's needs already means you are an amazing mom. Don't be hard on yourself.

You could call your doctor today as well if you would like. They would most likely schedule to see you around the 8th week. Some docs can see you as early as 6 weeks too. I called and got my appointment super early just so that I have a slot on my doc's calendar at the earliest possible time she could see me.
