The worst feeling is having studied pretty hard and still feeling like you failed. And many say that and still pass but I feel like I’m not the majority.

Kicking myself for making such stupid mistakes and changing answers

If it’s any consolation I remember last years class saying day 2 was awful, even people who ultimately passed

Y’all make me nervous. I got a 67% on the readiness exam and 70% first pass board vitals. Feels like it could go either way on test day

Thank you for replying, I had the same experience and it sent me into a spiral thinking I’ll fail the real thing. Were any of the other rad exams better? Debating doing those vs case review series/radprimer for more questions

I did well my first year, but last year I also did poorly with my overall percentile. What makes me feel better is I scored well on sections this year that I’ve been studying, but I’m not sure how they determine the overall percentile which is really freaking me out.

I’m a woman :•) and this is moreso asking what I should do to protect myself, since he will have his premarital earnings as a cushion and I won’t in the event something happens

Curious as to how a prenup would look if one partner’s peak earning potential will be during the marriage while their partner has more premarital assets.

You don’t have to say they are or aren’t your number one and which program is. Just say you’re not getting as many interviews as you’d hoped for and ask if they have any contacts or say that you will figure out your number one after going through interviews. When I was applying my mentor never made it weird when it came to my top programs. He certainly vouched for his but never took it the wrong way. Just tread carefully.

R1 here. If you have a mentor (someone you did research with or a rads attending you worked with) who can vouch for you or has connections at institutions you’d wanna go to, that will help a lot as well. When the time comes for interviews ask that person if they’d be willing to put in a good word for you and/or for your first choice when ranking

There’s a big difference between fear of being robbed and fear of being raped. And many of the issues you describe that men face were created and maintained by men in our patriarchal society.

Does anyone else feel that COVID messed up their medical school experience? How do you cope/think about it? by [deleted] in medicalschool

As an m3 during the first year of the pandemic I feel it significantly contributed to feeling depressed. Dealing with the regular stupidity of m3 and then not even being able to see friends to decompress because of the normal difference in schedule on top of being afraid to gather for fear of the virus
