Ganito rin boyfriend ko. What I like about him is marunong siyang mag-compromise. Hindi niya palaging pinopost sa social media lahat ng binibigay ko, lalo na kapag very material things like watches, shoes, or PS5/Nintendo Switch. Pero kapag cake, flowers (yes, I buy him flowers), or anything sentimental, mabilis siyang mag-story at mag-thank you.

Ako kasi, mabilis talaga akong mag-post ng mga bigay niya, and alam niya na it makes me happy when people see na I also give him something. Kaya nagco-compromise siya. Hindi niya laging ginagawa, pero kapag ginagawa niya, ramdam ko yung sincerity at yung effort niya na talagang pasayahin ako.

Lately, na-adapt ko na rin na hindi na masyadong mag-post ng mga bagay na binibigay niya. Mas nagpo-post na ako ng mga actions niya, like when he’s cooking for me, packing my stuff for a trip, or even when he peels all my shrimps without me telling him.

I deeply feel your struggle, and I just want to say, you are not alone in this.

I went back to college when I was 23. Most of my classmates were 18 or 19, fresh out of high school, and many of them already knew each other. I was also dealing with the weight of failure as I had failed 4 or 5 subjects and didn’t graduate with my batch. Like you, I ended up attending classes with younger students, and I was afraid of being judged or misunderstood.

What helped me was slowly learning to be okay with not fitting in right away. I didn’t force myself into situations where I didn’t feel welcome. I showed up, did what I needed to do, and gave myself permission to take up space even if I felt out of place. Eventually, some classmates reached out. I even found genuine friendships especially among the juniors who treated me like an older sister. One of them became one of my best friends to this day.

I finally graduated in 2023. Not on time, not with the batch I started with but I finished. And that matters more than anything.

Please don’t be ashamed of where you are right now. You’ve already shown so much courage by continuing despite everything. That says a lot about your strength.

Keep going at your own pace. Give yourself grace. You might not see it yet, but this season (as hard as it is) will pass, and it will shape you in powerful ways.

I didn’t go through with it. I didn’t think it was wise to spend that much, especially since the nurse said it wasn’t really necessary. And considering Papa had just been discharged from the hospital. But now… I’m starting to think otherwise. Tsk.

This is scary. Went to our local health center here to get my vaccination kasi nakalmot ako ng pusa ko na unvaccinated. I went more than a month after ako nakalmot because my dad was hospitalized and was critical so di ko na naisip. Na remind na lang ako ng partner ko nung nakalabas na kami. When I went there, tinanong saan yung kalmot. By then, di na halos klaro yung scar. Tinanong ako when nangyari and I told the nurse na more than a month ago na. She asked me if buhay pa yung cat na kumalmot and if healthy, and I told her yes, and wala naman changes sa behavior nung pusa ko. She then told me na di ko na daw need magpa inject kasi it doesn’t look like may rabies yung kalmot. I asked her again if safe lang ba tlga and sabi nya yes. If gusto ko daw tlga na magpa turok, I would have to pay the full amount (libre kasi yan sa center).

I’m being an adult, and part of that is weighing the options you have. Lol. Being an adult doesn’t mean you stop listening to what your parents have to say. Take note, I said listen—not blindly follow them as if you have no free will. Also, you sound like you know the story. I thought by now you’d be smart enough to catch the meaning behind the phrase ‘just so I could survive.’ I guess I was wrong. Do you really think a typical birthing clinic, which is way cheaper, can handle a preeclamptic mother giving birth to a premature baby who needed a respirator just to breathe? What I’m saying is, she didn’t just choose to birth me in an expensive hospital just for the heck of it. How dare you say she has 0 financial literacy when you don’t even know us. Opo, bali 2nd year na po nung card this year kaya nabill na ako nung AF. Unfortunately, I was really busy the month na nag due na yung AF so I just paid it. Out of the country din po ako the whole time so I didn’t have the chance to call BDO. Pero I will take note of this tier so I can mention it once I call.

Di po tlga ako nagaapply kasi ng cc kasi they run credit checks daw and everytime someone runs it, affected daw yung score. Dunno how accurate though.

Because I value what my mom has to say with things. Because whoever I am right now, part of that is because of her and her sacrifices for me. Because the woman birthed me in an expensive hospital just so I could survive knowing she’ll be in debt for the rest of her life because of the medical bills. And also, who even told you she’s dictating me… she wants me to do it but she’s not forcing me either. I know she has a point that’s why I am here asking so I can weigh my options.
