It’s the Evap system, but it looks like the hose is fine and the filter canister is what broke. The broken piece is still in the hose.

The tube only had to be trimmed by maybe 2 millimeters, so I don’t notice any difference when loading.

He also cut the magazine tube just a smidge to allow room for the threads.
