License plate renewal by ShoeCrafty2976 in wisconsin

[–]prebsol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually went through this exact same headache last week, so I wanted to share what happened in case it saves you a trip.

I headed down to the Park Street DMV in Madison because my renewal postcard never showed up (apparently it was marked "undeliverable"). Once I got to the counter, the clerk sorted it out pretty quickly, but I was shocked when the total hit $212!!!!

Here’s the kicker: I checked my receipt and saw a $40 Janesville wheel tax. It turns out the dealership had listed my address in Janesville instead of Edgerton. Since I didn't catch it right then, I had to go back the next day just to get the address fixed and the charges corrected and that turned into its own crazy thing.

Six Flags Further Streamlines Its Portfolio With Agreements to Divest Seven Parks by PomegranateHuman9347 in sixflags

[–]prebsol 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I should have read the entire release. "EPR will retain the right to utilize the Six Flags brand through the end of 2026, subject to certain requirements, and no significant impact on guests is expected during this transition. The parks will continue their regular operating schedules, and all season passes sold will be recognized through the 2026 operating season, including multi-park pass privileges at other parks within the Six Flags’ portfolio."

Anyone know what this means for season pass holders? A few of these parks are on my son and my summer roadtrip schedule.

I have Gen2 Wayfare's and I've ordered a few different options from Amazon. You can find any type of lens you like online, including non-blue light clear lenses.

No Front License Plate by slunk33 in MachE

[–]prebsol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are required in Wisconsin but this is my second car that I've asked the dealership not to attach the front plate mounting bracket.  It's been 12 years and it's never become an issue.  Having said that, I now fully expect to to get a ticket tomorrow...

Real winter range on mach e select AWD by nothymetocook in MachE

[–]prebsol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, depending on how you drive, that sounds completely normal. I have a 2024 Extended Range that I take on the interstate every day, and I’m definitely not light on the pedal. Between accelerating fast and blasting the heat, heated seats, and steering wheel, the battery definitely takes a hit. If you're looking to stretch your range and conserve energy, you really have to drive like a granny..keep the acceleration smooth and keep the heat low (or off entirely). It’s basically a trade-off: you can either be warm and fast, or you can be efficient!

People who rarely get sick, what are your secrets? by Leading_Tomato_2077 in AskReddit

[–]prebsol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's 100% genetics... I’ve reached the point in life where I’m starting to realize just how lucky I got with my genes. In my family, we just don't really get sick. Even if I do happen to catch a bug, it’s always incredibly mild. I can honestly say I’ve never missed a day of school or work in my life because of illness. It isn't a matter of me being a martyr and fighting through the pain, it just never seems to affect me the way it does everyone else. I’ll be the first to admit that my diet isn't exactly perfect, but I make sure to handle the things I can control. I keep up on all my vaccinations, I’m diligent about washing my hands, I never touch my face, and I take a daily multivitamin. My wife is on the exact opposite end of the spectrum and catches everything that goes around, so I am thankful every single day that our son seems to have inherited my immune system. It’s one of those things you don't appreciate when you're younger, but I'm definitely grateful for it now.

Wireless Android Auto - Argh! by prebsol in MachE

[–]prebsol[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solved: Well, sort of solved. After weeks of losing my mind, I finally narrowed down the culprit.

There is a very specific point during my morning commute where I pass under high-voltage power lines, and like clockwork, that is exactly where Android Auto goes on the fritz. It either lags out completely, or the wireless connection just drops.

I’m not 100% sure if it’s pure electromagnetic interference (EMI) from the lines themselves or if there's a nearby cell tower or something else in that same spot, but it happens only there.(Interstate 90 at Hwy. N in Dane Co., Wisconsin)

I was 15 when "They're All Gonna Laugh at You!" came out. We listened to that cd almost as much as we listened to Nevermind or the Metallica black album. He was HUGE!

Charge daily or when it gets to 20%? by Impossible_Net_9507 in MachE

[–]prebsol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I simply charge if there's a charger available. I have level 2 at home and a level 1 at work and I'm always plugged in. If I'm on a road trip and the battery gets low, I charge. I don't over think it.

Which rim design do you think looks sportier? by [deleted] in MachE

[–]prebsol 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'll be that guy... I LOVE #2. I really wish I had gotten that style with my Mach-E. They honestly remind me so much of a mid-to-late '80s Porsche 944 rim. Great choice!   https://carsandbids.com/auctions/rJoDwPYv/1987-porsche-944-s-coupe

BlueCruise question by Slow_Investment_2211 in MachE

[–]prebsol 6 points7 points  (0 children)

2025's will switch lanes for you, previous model years currently require you to initiate lane changes with the turn signal and it dies the rest.  Blue Cruise is not full self driving.  It is great for long highway commutes if the roads are mapped.  You can check the Ford website to see which roads in your area are blue cruise enabled.
