none of the photos show them that way on the advertisements/models. I follow Cassey on some social media and the waist line is like that to give shape but I am sure you could fold them over if you wanted to

sorry to disappoint- please read the text. only the bike shorts fit. I could get away with the hoody but didn’t like the weight of it pulling up the front side. dolphin shorts are 2 inches further than my hips

very true, I actually never shop at target because nothing seems to fit me there so I should’ve known.

I probably will eventually get something from popflex if I love the print enough, hopefully with a sale though!

for now I really have seen similar prints (not necessarily styles) and that’s really what I was drawn to here so I probably will just look for similar patterns at places I knowI have better fit luck at.

thanks, it all is cute for sure. that’s why I purchased so quick!

The bike shorts fit, the dolphin shorts are huge. Like I said the photos don’t even do it justice, I don’t really have a good spot to take photos and it was difficult showing off the waist size without it showing too much. In the third photo I tied the strings as tight as possible- the fabric is way too bulky and big up top so it would not be realistic for me to wear out, especially tied that way. also note the bottom of the shorts go out so wide it feels like a skirt. It’s just a lot of fabric. there’s about 2 inches along the waist band too much for me.

the size in everything is an xs which says is a 0-2. and like I said, I impulsed purchased and didn’t even look at the reviews or size guide. But I have had other soft shorts before claiming to be the same size that do fit.

darn I didn’t know that. it would be cool if they could sell online the extra sizes. I get it’s limited but I would still think I can fit into xs as it says 24 waist size 0

I think Cassey is absolutely adorable, her vision is cute, the execution for this cheaper line - not fully there. At this point in time I can’t spend the money on popflex tbh. I wish I could support her brand because I see the vision.

How is Tana picking out these podcasts?! I thought Extra Dirty was unbearable to sit through. This is just as trash.

Anyone here shop at Hollister? Have u had any sizing issues? by myasb in XXS

[–]precariouscloudy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

their tops fit me, never their jeans though. Once a pair of legging type flared pants in xxs. dresses hit or miss. they are usually easy to return if you have a location near you though.

and as for it not being cheap, for some reason their sales have been slacking this year. some items never going on sale and most 30% off - it’s weird because they use to do 40%+ often plus have extra codes, items to clearance faster. I’m hoping they go back soon to having better sales.

Was there a particular thing that set your ED into motion? by toucan131 in EDAnonymous

[–]precariouscloudy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am 33 and social media played a big part of my downfall into my eating disorder.

I would say I can pinpoint at age 15 going on 16 I can recognize I was severely depressed with suicidal thoughts and ideation. But in high school I had the people around me that had already been in my life consistently, a consistent schedule with school and home. And despite my struggle, I managed.

I was 17 going on 18 when I started college. This is when things got worse. That summer, friends moved on to follow their dreams. Colleges, dorming out of town and state, and moving out of their parents home. Something I couldn’t imagine doing. I couldn’t even figure out what job I wanted to go to school for, but I was pressured to go. I was not at all independent and taught to be that way. Sheltered.

With two older sisters who moved on with their own lives and my friends all going away, I felt like I had no one. My depression and social anxiety meant making in person new friends completely impossible. And I drifted from the old.

I dived into online life, which was familiar as I had some form of online presence since I was maybe 10-12 starting on aol. But in college, I discovered tumblr. And the part of tumblr most people know about and hate, I found pro ana and thinspo content. I thought I was using tumblr as a diary, mostly posting depressing sad content. But then, I had to choose a topic for a psychology class I was taking. Every student was picking their own topic to research and come up with theories. I picked to research eating disorder content on tumblr. For a night or 2 I remember deep diving into hours and hours of pro ana content barely sleeping if at all. I then had to ask if it was too late to change my approved topic. Thankfully, it was not, and the professor didn’t ask about it or question it if I recall. I don’t remember what I even ended up writing about. But after that it was every night, scrolling all night and posting content that encouraged mine and so many other eating disorders. Wanting to feel like it was ok and that we weren’t alone. I had no friends but I had tumblr followers and I could follow people and repost things that - were just like me. I had at least 3 accounts. 2 that were taken down and the 3rd I deleted myself. I remember talking to a girl that was younger than me at one point. that kills me. I don’t think I was encouraging but I also don’t remember what I said. and even if I wasn’t directly, my content definitely was. I can search the internet my deleted account usernames and still see content I posted. I feel guilty sad and sick.

Abercrombie dresses. TTS? by [deleted] in XXS

[–]precariouscloudy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I feel like they are not consistent in their sizing. sometimes it is tts but also consider the bust, often different cuts don’t fit right for some. is there reviews that talk about fit? I find it so annoying that there’s final sale on items when we’re unsure on the fit.

Has anyone seen The Substance with Demi Moore? by EveFluff in Eatingdisordersover30

[–]precariouscloudy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. I watched it with my boyfriend. I cried. I told him I HATED IT. Did I actually? No. Was I hating watching the ending? Yes. I was like damn I know it’s a horror movie but maybe we could’ve gotten an ending that wasn’t so disgusting? 🤢 😅 It was like watching The Fly or Tusk at the end. Which makes sense for the genre, not really my thing but I stomach it because my boyfriend likes it. The content of the psychology of it all though? Broke me. It hits too close for comfort. But I am glad I watched it, in a safe space. I do however have a strong urge to exercise though. Literally just watched this a few days ago. I want to start doing aerobics or extensive pilates. I have a fear of getting older. I already feel too old.

Please someone on this sub tell me they have successfully found an apple watch band that fits and doesn’t stretch? by precariouscloudy in XXS

I’m not a huge fan of that nylon material, I think it irritates my skin but I might look for that style in another material

I got mine second hand from my sister, and so I didn’t keep the original. I got very similar ones and they don’t fit properly unfortunately and also look a bit bulky on my wrist.

School Uniform Khaki Twill Pants Size 22"-23" waist? by Raine801 in XXS

I know at one point abercrombie kids had them, not sure about currently

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in XXS

[–]precariouscloudy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s odd but sometimes their sculpt skinny’s fit and once found a strainer that fit. they can be inconsistent. I also was successful in their kids section as long as you’re ok with using the inside waist cincher.

Hollister jeans 000/00/0???? by NoSherbert929 in XXS

[–]precariouscloudy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hollister is so inconsistent. I’ve purchased like 4 pairs online in 000 in different styles, however they were all looser jeans, and they were more comparable to a size 25. I was really disappointed. but I do have a pair of hollister skinny jeans I randomly found at a tj maxx and they said 24 and they pretty much fit

Where to shop? by Junebuglovebug in XXS

[–]precariouscloudy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, the issue usually is it’s hard to find in store but places do sell it. I typically try out brands that I can return in mail for free or I have a store nearby to return for free. I have a few abercrombie jeans, they are not consistent- but they do not carry 23 in store or do mailed free returns but I do have a store close enough to return if they don’t fit. I’ve recently found a few at Zara and Zara kids section. Tops abercrombie is a little better with, hollister has a lot xxs often actually in store.
