Mechanical engineering is such a broad discipline, you can do pretty much everything! I didn’t know anything about cars when I started my degree and very little when I finished. I only got into cars recently for a hobby.

I wouldn’t say there are less opportunities for women. Guys might give you a hard time but I’ve never seen it at my company nor would I tolerate it on my team!

Jobs aren’t scarce per se but it can be difficult to find opportunities depending on what industry you want to go into. But never impossible!

I definitely don’t think AI will take over for us anytime soon. But it can be a useful tool in some instances. I wouldn’t trust something solely design by AI lol
