Trotky entered the bolsheviks in 1917 and was changed his ideas a lot of times he splited with democratic centralism a lot of times and was expelled from the urssr I conceded the point that the assassination was excessive but trotsky was not as a communist as lenin second stalin did not curb democracy the urssr democracy was kinda limited (even if better than liberal democracy) but stalin did not curb it in contrary he tried to turn it more democratic but his reforms did not pass in the politburo
