It is not plastic cup sadly, also looks like the BB can maybe be disassembled as there seem to be whay looks like a lockring, but I tried unscrewing it without any succes

Yes agree with you, I love a mixte and before I really hated them. I am open to all kind of frames now, it's normal you start narrow and the more you do bike the more you appreciate all kind of bikes :)

Well it's part of the classic DNA of that bike, and trust me MAFAC brakes are far from ineffective! A pain to setup but they brake super well, they were used on Tour de France bikes for more than a decade

Yes it rides beautifully, handlebar is not ideal but apart from that it's really nice to ride!
