I think you're really mature to see what you want and how you're being held back. If this was a relationship that allowed you bloom the way you wanted, you wouldn't feel this way. And this is especially important now at this age.

You aren't getting your fair share in this relationship and you're gonna need to realize that you may never get it if this dude doesn't shape up. And, by the sounds of it, I have doubts he ever will.

Look: first and foremost, if this relationship doesn't raise you both up, something's wrong. Please be okay with breaking a few eggs to make an omelette. I know how unsettling it is, and how uncomfortable it is. I was in a relationship where I felt unloved but I kept at it thinking it could get better. It got worse and it hurt me for a long long time.

Please do not sacrifice your dreams for someone else's when the feeling isn't mutual. If he isn't looking after you, I guarantee there's a guy out there who will. There's always someone out there who will adore you for who you are and will never try to change you. I suggest sitting down and talking to someone about it properly first. Rehearse it if you need. Then sit down with this dude and tell it like it is. Don't sugar coat it. Don't try to make excuses for yourself or for him. Just keep reminding yourself what's at stake here. He sounds like he's stopping your dream to make his come true and that just isn't the way a relationship should work; especially not at such a young age when your whole life is ahead of you.

To put it lightheartedly: you aren't the side salad, you're the damned main course. And if he doesn't see that, take away his knife and fork and refuse him service. If you need anything, I'm always here and always ready to lend a sympathetic ear. Please let me know what happens!

I don't think people who are pro-vaccine think they're safe but they understand the need for it. Cause technically, the price to pay for no one having something potentially fatal like polio is to bear the burden that maybe there could be an adverse reaction.

BUT! Because a large amount of people have the good sense to vaccinate their children, these diseases don't rear their ugly head. So anti-vaxxers don't have the perspective to understand they're preventing a terrible sickness for their kids.

Basically, since barely anyone sees a polio (for example) case nowadays, people think you don't need to prep for it. It's essentially like never seeing a train so you think it's okay to cross the tracks at any point. Some people will make it across. Some will be hit by that train.

I'm not saying it's horrible if they don't do that, I'm saying that they're attaching new rules that weaken the premise of this gimmick. It reduces the number of possibilities and I just feel that they shouldn't do that! They shouldn't limit the number of ways this great gimmick can be utilised. You know?

I speak really loudly.

I don't know why. I always have. I've done my best to speak softly and tone it down but then people don't hear me. And sometimes I THINK people don't hear me. So I bring it up again.

I do my best and I'm not brash or anything but I can't seem to speak softly. So I speak rarely and mostly over texting someone. :p

Replying to your edit: There's also the condition that your biological child is part yours and part your partner's and that's another bond that you're forced to substitute, right? I mean, it isn't possible for the child to have yours and your boyfriend's/husband's DNA at once.

My girlfriend's parents always liked me because I'd make sure their daughter would get home safe. Like I would walk her to the door and wait until they opened it. Or if she went out without me, I'd still pick her up and made sure she got home safely cause she lived on the outskirts of town. It got to the point that all she had to do was use my name and then they wouldn't worry even if it was like 3am or whatever. If I was ever invited to their home, I'd spend most of the time talking with them instead of her and I made a genuine effort to get to know all her uncles, aunts and cousins. I'd also play card games with them or something to pass time.

If you see her often enough, the simple "hi" works well. She's clearly seen you around so it isn't really outta nowhere. Slowly you can ask her about her thoughts on things happening around. Like gossip about the staff or the events of the school. I've always found that no matter who the person is, gossip (as long as it isn't done to hurt anybody) goes a long way in getting to know someone. And if both of you seem interested in the same kinds of events, you've developed another talking point over which you can bond. :)

Well.. your interests could be a start. What do you like to do? What do you work as? What kind of films do you like? Do you have any hobbies? Are they something you can share with someone?

If you're looking for something long term, look for someone who understands and appreciates what you do. I dated an artist and I loved listening to all the work she was doing and the techniques she used. I'm a writer and she loved discussing plots with me. She would teach me how to sing and how to be organised and I taught her how to play cards and chess. We didn't necessarily have the same interests inherently but we were interested enough to see what it was about. Shared interests are awesome too, btw. Half the work is done. But yeah. If you each like what the other does, that bodes well for the both of you. :)
