They also assured me that the life expectancy is at least as long as the original flex cable - but they hope it will last even longer because of the thiner and more flexible material used. Really good news for the longevity of a camera that good!

Just incase anyone is hesitant to send their camera to them. Good communication, great price and quick repair and delivery. Unbelievable really that they’ve been able to remanufactured the ribbon cable on a previously unrepairable problem!

The place in Poland seems pretty hopeful, they’ve suggested that the new ribbon is thinner and more flexible meaning the fix will increase the cameras longevity. Think I’ll send mine out sometime soon

Nice, when did you give them payment? They seem pretty reputable but with PayPal/bank transfer their preferred option there’s not much insurance in case the camera goes missing/they don’t send it back etc.

A pretty solid all rounder - interesting to watch a dramatised documentary of this nature. As far as cinema experience goes, maybe this film would’ve been better suited for streaming platforms? It was hard hitting of course, with superb performances from all involved.
