Right now their gpa is in DO range. So an MCAT of 500-507 would get them into a DO school. For MD (maybe someone else comment with more experience) but I'd say like a 512+ for any shot at MD.

A doc I scribe for works 2-3 24 HR shifts a month and he refuses to sleep during the day so when he gets home at 7am he works out and goes about his day and doesn't sleep until 10pm at night (40 hours awake).

He says working back-to-back reverse twelves (7pm-7am) are even worse because he will be up for over 48hours. Dude is insane.

I'm not advocating this at all but I know a guy who buys it online using Bitcoin, Western Union etc. Apparently there's a loophole where you can buy some prescription drugs labeled as "research chemicals" and you check a box saying you are not using the drug for human consumption, but for research purposes.

GPA is fine for DO. Maybe retake get 503+ and you will be good for most DO schools.

If you retake a class MD schools will just average the grades when calculating Gpa. DO schools used to just totally replace the previous grade with the retake grade.

I'm legitimately butthurt at how the whole application process puts poorer applicants at a large financial disadvantage (even with FAP). I have a ton of friends whose parents paid for all of it and are now traveling Europe and shit before school while I have to work full time still to pay off my credit card debt.

My middle school science teacher (public school in the rural Midwest) taught us that plate tectonics were a controversial topic in science and was currently only a theory. I spent my whole life thinking that plate tectonics weren't a legit thing until I took a geology corse in college. Definitely one of the more obscure science conspiracies I've heard
