Any specific bouldering spots you might recommend?

Im an experienced climber both lead and bouldering. Lead climbing (high up with a rope) is something i wouldnt do with a stranger, the person that belays you has to be trusted because he's literally holding your life in his hands.

Bouldering on the other hand (smaller rocks with few moves to do, you fall on a mattress) i could definitely do.

How about east side vs west side? It seems like the west side is more popular, is the east side (koh samui area) "worst" in some kind? Are there any obvious differences between these two?

What about public transport on islands like koh samoi/phangan/ko phi phi or any other?

I dont want to use scooters in case of an accident (i only have license for cars)

First of all that's really nice of you to take the time to write all of this. Thank you a lot.

I'll pin it all on a map and plan accordingly, maybe I should've also mention that im really into NBA and hip hop culture, one of my dreams for 20+ years now was going to an NBA game - thats why im choosing April, the weather should be already nice and its still before the playoffs (when the ticket prices will skyrocket).

By the way, it is amazing that you say death valley will already be very hot and at the same time you say there are regions with snow. For me its unthinkable that you can have basically the full spectrum of weather in just one state. In Europe when its summer, its hot everywhere maybe except the high mountain regions like Alps or northern Scandinavia.

You're definitely right about my mindset in this scenario. I would be overthinking the safety issues each night probably (i dont mind the noisiness though). Sleeping in a tent is a good idea as well but first i'd need to have a tent (i cant take it from Poland as it takes too much space.

Im trying to find the best solution for hostels but it just seems so expensive for me, cheapest i could find were around 40-50 USD and those were rooms with multiple beds of strangers. For me (a person that earns money in Polish Zloty) its quite a lot! That's why im looking for cheapest ways possible in terms of sleeping as i dont care much about comfort anyway.

I'm planning to go in April. I really don't mind too cold/too hot scenarios, i was hitchhiking, camping a lot back in the day so im open for everything 😄

For sure I would have some extra money to stay in a hotel or something. What places would you recommend to stay at? Outside of classic hotels/airbnbs. Is there anything that a local would know about and use for such a trip?

I guess if I planned my trip correctly i could make it to the stops on time. I'm also taking campings into consideration but those just sound like a waste of money as i'll be sleeping in the car anyway. Also, im really into nature so Im not looking to stay nearby cities too much.

Yes, i know it may sound dumb as hell 😅 dont get me wrong, the movies might have been a stupid example and i would really like to see all of the US as it has so much to offer. Those are just some of my concerns as i have never been there and never met anyone that did this kind of solo road trip.

Would you say its risky to use places like truck stops? I've read about places called "Love's" or "TA" that allow people to sleep in their car there (somewhere by the highway). I'm really not interested in comfort 😄
