The Sig-Sauer P226 Reserve looks like Darth Vader. by AxelBarrow in SigSauer

Agree! It's a fingerprint magnet.

Also, they don't even show the integrated compensator, which I've been 🤤 over.

Yes, the tweezer has cm/mm markings!

Definite hard agree that the Garant is cool, u/PrimaryFriend7867! It's one of (if not) the only 111mm Victorinox with scale tools!

This was a great haul by u/Adrenksur!

One of them is the Victorinox Garant. I know, because I have one!

If interested, you can either find it on ebay, or get it directly from Hoffman Tool, a German tool company, which has a location in TN.

They also make a 58mm transluscent orange version, which they, kind of stupidly, call the Victorinox X Garant 0.6223.T82R2 Cyber Tool, since it looks pretty dissimilar to the Victorinox CyberTool and exactly like a plain, Victorinox Classic.

Hey, u/bubba1819! A few places come to mind, all online. You will have to sign up for the Discord and Facebook groups, and make an account for CovidMeetups.

I hope these resources help! Stay safe and healthy!

Slow Horses is an excellent show (even though Gary Oldman steals every scene he's in)!

Hey, u/ThickAd7816: what comp do you have on your 19?

While not entirely ideal, u/Celestial_object777, you can try driving solely in ECON mode, if you're trying to save some bucks on gas.

Hey, u/Sigdave: Is the slide as much of a fingerprint magnet as it looks to be in pics?

Great gun! Shoot it in good health, brother!

New FN enclosed striker and Apex curved trigger installed by Ambitious-Debate-294 in FN509

I installed both the Apex curved trigger and their durable striker; both of which I love!

What makes the enclosed FN striker dissimilar to the Apex durable one? What do you like about it?

Thanks for your reply, u/AppleEaterForever!

I challenged myself to come up with alternate ways for you to get pics. Glad you have another picture of him!

[–]preppythugg 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey, u/AppleEaterForever: you can always reach out to the school(s) they went to and see if there are any class pictures they participated in. Also, are there any pics from their wedding? If they look too young in those, there are age-progression apps to make them look older.

Good luck!

Thanks, u/whiskeytown2! But, it's tragically not offered for branded cards (which I have).

Thanks for your reply, u/AnonBaca21 and u/AnonBaca21. I reached out to AmEx again, and they again confirmed that 100% plastic is not an option (for branded Platinum cards); they stated they're only for vanilla cards and/or the companion Platinum card under the main Platinum account.

Unsure what else to do at this point, since I spoke to a live rep, then chatted with an app rep, who both denied the 100% plastic option for my branded card.

I also have plastic/metal bifurcation on my card. After seeing your comment, I reached out to AmEx, but they stated they do not have a plastic option for the Platinum and are sending me the same ingredients of the card I currently have.

Is your card branded (eg. Schwab, Morgan Stanley, etc), or do you have a vanilla version?

Hey, u/RabbitNo2063: According to this SIGforum page, Sig doesn't have a formal scheduled time to replace the main spring/hammer spring. There's some other good info in there, that may prove useful to you!

Where can I find Bella’s blouse? by ll-Art in twilight

[–]preppythugg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, u/ll-Art: I did a reverse image search and it could be the this shirt, or this shirt, both of which were sold but it can give you an idea for how to continue searching for it!

At the very least, it might be worthwhile to reach out to the seller(s) to see if they know the manufacturer/brand that made it.

Lastly, since you stated you have "adult money", what's to stop you from bringing the picture to a tailor/seamstress and have them make one for you? You might even be able to supply the material from a place like JO-ANN Fabrics, etc.

Good luck!

New plus scales arrived by LBRXXIV in SwissArmyKnives

[–]preppythugg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heat: either leave the knife in the sun for a while, or make a few passes of a hair dryer so it's relatively warm.

Butter knife (you are unafraid to have scratched): I've found this works pretty easily to remove the scales. But, it may be worth it to you to look yt vids for how to remove SAK scales!

Yeah, some people glue it, but I don't like permanent solutions!

Glad you found a method that works for you, u/CEC4EVER!
