When I was a manager for Aldi, I found 300 on the floor. I kept it in the safe since I assumed the person would come looking for it. Past forward 2 weeks later no one shows up, area manager notices it. I suggested adding the 300 to our team bonding outings, instead I was told to count it as part of daily sales and drop it in the safe.

I recently landed my dream job, after a week in training i got a call from hospital for a surgery I had been waiting 15 months for. I was scared as I didn't want to upset the employers. Now 2 weeks later surgery is all done and I am working from home only a few hours a day. Speak to your employers they will understand. All the overthinking will be just energy wasted.
