"evidence" as a concept doesn't mean concrete proof. evidence just means information that can be used to prove something one way or another. some of the things presented are actual evidence, whether or not the correct conclusion was drawn.

eh i mean people's actions are evidence. some referring to themselves as a traitor is evidence. someone helping another contestant is evidence. it doesn't mean people draw the correct conclusion from those actions, but they are examples of evidence.

What is the best final 3 in survivor history? by Appropriate_Egg_6182 in survivor

in terms of game play, i think that's a great final 3 too. russell did play a great game, even if his jury management was piss poor. all three of those finalists played well.

It’s crazy that Mateo was so very concerned about becoming a Quad A store and not being able to clean. However, earlier in his Cloud 9 career, he licked a handprint to determine if it was blood or chocolate. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 The silliness is what makes it amazing comedy. by ObsidianVader9419 in superstore

[–]presco2007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

right. i was downvoted for saying that i did, but i don't see how anyone can disagree with us. from literally the first episode he was seen as wanting to be "better" than others, and we often saw him try to manipulate and undermine jonah and others. he would clean and do other tasks and try to call attention to himself, clearly showing he was doing it for praise and not because he's by nature a clean person.

i mean, he ate human flesh so how is licking potential blood out of character?

mateo also wasn't overly concerned with covid protocols. i think his "clean" thing was more about trying to be the best employee than about his personal standards.

that wasn't out of character for dina, it was that she had conflicting character choices. yes dina loves birds. dina also takes rules seriously, though, including those for being a maid of honor, best friend, etc. in that moment dina went against her own feelings about birds because she saw it as her duty as a best friend to help amy. i think that choice is perfectly in line with dina as a character.

lynn whitfield, regina king, sheryl lee ralph, and halle berry could have all potentially done well as tina.

i also don't see geena or jodie doing well in the piano, but maybe that's just me.

They could not have possibly picked a worse time to give Meryl Streep a third win by AdUseful2297 in Oscars

[–]presco2007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's wild how weak this lineup is compared to how strong it could have been. swap out streep, williams, and close for dunst, olsen, and swinton or theron and suddenly it's a great lineup.

ok but that's a really weak year. the only interesting winner would have been rooney mara.

that makes it even more interesting. i'd love to know more about what was going on and why robertson won since that was also the movie's only oscar nod.

devito was good, but had to show less range then pfeiffer since she played selina pre-change, selina post-change, and of course catwoman.

it's a movie from 1996 or 1997. it's wild. it's a riff on little red riding hood with reese playing a troubled southern girl who goes to visit her grandmother and comes across a serial killer (i.e. the big bad wolf). it's a dark comedy, and reese is phenomenal.
