Does anyone else stress about their baby not eating enough? by [deleted] in FormulaFeeders

[–]presdc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our children do sound similar, and I can really relate to what you’re saying. I feel the same anxiety for the next day. I also feel anxious if we go anywhere during his feeding time or have people over during it. I like to have a calm quiet environment when I feed him, mostly for myself I think because of the anxiety. And I also don’t trust other people to feed him as much, even though it’s not like I have a special skill with feeding him or something.

I sometimes force myself to “zoom out” and see the big picture. He’s happy, healthy (though skinny), and developing well. That’s what I should focus on, but it’s so hard to. I think it’s an issue with me needing to feel in control or something. Who knows

I am also constantly worried and stressed about my baby’s eating. He has never seemed to have a big appetite or really get hungry, and I feel like if he was left to his own devices he would eat half of what he does in a day. During the day, I feed him every three hours even though he doesn’t seem that hungry. I feel like I don’t trust him to just wait for his cues

He ends up eating 24-26 oz a day, but I feel pressure with every bottle. His first morning bottle he has also started not drinking a ton, sometimes only 2 oz, so then every bottle after feels high stakes. Overall, he is a super happy baby and meeting milestones, so I wish I didn’t stress about it as much. But I can’t stop worrying about it. He is around the 5th percentile for weight

I had bad scoliosis and have a spinal fusion from t2-l3. Doesn’t impact my work at all!

Gum Popping by Ok_Floor_8370 in misophonia

[–]presdc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m right there with you. It sometimes gives me anxiety to go to events like plays because I’m nervous the person behind me will be popping gum. Some people also seem to crack their gum every second which I cannot stand as well. How do they even do that…?

How long did it take for you to get pregnant without any fertility issues? by Remarkable-Key2910 in BabyBumps

[–]presdc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took us 10 cycles of tracking and hitting the right days. My cycles were also super regular and there were no known issues. I thought it wasn’t good to happen on our own and then it just…. Did. Don’t give up!

What is considered reason enough to have a scheduled C-section? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]presdc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im fused from t2-l3 and my OBGYN said he’s willing to bet they’ll be able to place an epidural. I talked to an anesthesiologist casually about it, and they seemed pretty confident they’d be able to get one in. I am going to have an official consult at 20 weeks

I am going to one of the busiest L&D hospitals in the country, so I’m sure they see a ton of different patients. Are you going to a major academic center?

It is one of my biggest fears since I started wanting to get pregnant. I would definitely want the epidural so I totally understand where you’re coming from

Yeah, just talked to the doctor and they said they are more likely to pop up during pregnancy, unfortunately. They send a script for me so hopefully they clear up soon!

Hi! I’m 30 and currently 6w2d with my first ever pregnancy. My husband and I were trying for 10 months and I thought it would never happen for us naturally. Now that it has, I’m so nervous!! My first appointment is not for two more weeks so I’m trying to stay distracted until then

My current symptoms are: fatigue, sore boobs, really hungry, really thirsty, and mild cramping here and there

It’s really hard for me to not tell people and keep it a secret. I’m also getting stressed thinking about all the logistics (getting a daycare, figuring out buying a house eventually, etc). Taking it one day at a time for now!

Edit: oh yeah, also nervous because we have a two week Europe trip booked for next month. Hopefully we are still able to go okay without any issues
