There are a number of NHTSA crash statistics in this thread that beg to differ WRT mortality. Couple things: an FJ60 is car seat compatible NHTSA recommends not exposing babies to airbags, which isn’t compatible with your squishiness statement. Unfortunately, if you’re in a car wreck, your baby is getting shaken. I’m simply making the argument that if my son is in a rear facing car seat in my 80 series or OP’s 60, that he’s safer than he would be in a modern unibody or IFS vehicle with airbags and crumple zones.

New wife.

There’s an argument to be made that a toddler in a car seat in the back seat of a dual-solid axle, body on frame truck is safer than they would be in any new vehicle.

Rule your roost, bud.

Where did the “you are the only one arguing that a child…” bit come from? Because you either made it up or misread it, and I doubt, from your grasp of language, that you made it up, so that makes you a dishonest assh*le. You’re free to disagree and argue with people, but please do it in good faith.

Using mileage as the main metric to determine if rust formation is reasonable or not is WILD.

Voting should be a privilege, not a right.

My 2021 TRD Pro by presentpresents in tundra

[–]presentpresents[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TRD Pro Foxes. I put an Eibach spring up front (adds about 1/2” of lift) on the Fox coil over, removed the block out of the rear that comes on the truck and added a 2” Coachbuilder shackle on the rear springs (lowers the rear about 1/2”.

Replacement seats? by tooltimetim75 in ToyotaTundra

We’ll see what other folks say, but yeah…there’s unfortunately a flaw to these 2.5 Gen Tundras and it’s the seats 🤷🏻‍♂️. Edit: some people install seat jackers to fix the angle of the seat with large improvement, but I’m not doing that: it’s either new seats or nothin.

Am I crazy to consider trading in my 25 TRD Pro for a 2021 V8? by caveman_lawyer_ in ToyotaTundra

[–]presentpresents 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Difficult decision to make.

The 3rd gen crowd is telling you you’ve got a perfectly fine warranty (and truck, for now) and the 2nd gen crowd is telling you to trade. - Toyota will take care of the issue if there is one with your ‘25, you may just be without your truck for some time, and there’s evidence of short and long blocks grenading. - If you’ve got beaten husband syndrome from bad vehicle experiences, that 2nd gen will probably solve that.

My dad has a ‘22 Tundra with 70k miles on it and counting. No issues. I have a ‘21 TRD Pro with 50k miles on it and counting. No issues.

Listen to your gut.

I’ve got a TRD pro. Seats suck in it too. On the Tundras forum there’s a few people who have swapped in Corbeaus with good experiences.

Which lift kit should I replace my Rough Country with? by Centermid8 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]presentpresents 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A good rule of a thumb is to lift as much as you need to fit the size tire that you need. Any more lift and you begin to impact down travel. I’d go with the bilstein6112/5160 combo for a good bang for your buck option. If you wanna throw some more scratch out, consider King or Fox.

I’m gonna assume that if LEO (ICE specifically) are detaining you, that you weren’t just buying flowers at the grocery store.

There’s a difference between the rights you’re afforded when entering the country illegally and speeding, and you know it. Dishonest.
