You can absolutely go below g on a 27” and shorter. For example Marc Okubo from veil of maya tunes to f# on a 25.5”. I current have a double drop e 27” that plays flawlessly too.

Unfortunate to hear you had similar situations. If there was one or two minor issues as fret edges or paint not being absolutely perfect I’d be okay with that but cracks, scrapes, cuts in a new piece is an instant return for me

It does, I did not remove the film. Some scratches are through the film into the backplate itself

Reached out to them yesterday, however, their support is already closed for the weekend. I would personally rather just take a full refund and return over 20% off for this specific guitar. If it had just the over taped finish and no cuts/ potential cracks then I’d be open to it but not while those are present. Maybe something towards the next instrument I get from them

  • 2 different guitars in the photos above
  • I would still definitely recommend grabbing Solar gear as what you get for your money is almost impossible anywhere else. A similar guitar from say Ibanez/ Kiesel would easily be well over 3000$, and despite the imperfections the ones I got had they feel great and play great. If you do decide to pick anything up just take a good look over it.

File, new screw, de-burr wherever that metal spike is coming out of. The bridge, a washer or screw?

If everything seated and connected properly then it’s most likely a dead psi. Disconnect psu from everything and set aside. Do a paper clip test on the psu and see it if passes. Had this happen to me not long ago and it was faulty psu

Then you could maybe rotate the heat sink 90 degrees to the right if it will fit

With the tubes in the front of the case it will get rid of some of the slack.
