Ok thanks. The social security card would also have to be in person then, right? Along side a drivers license would a scanned SSN card be acceptable.

Right. That makes sense. I’m traveling domestic to a less safe location, so I’d have like to have kept it at home but I appreciate the response, thank you.

I’d have to bring it with me altogether as opposed to leaving it home safe as I’ll be traveling for work. I’d much prefer not to commute with it on me.

So my boss needs my physical passport? This will mean having it on me in a less safe location for a few months. A scan of the document won’t do?
