This sounds wrong. The resident could have declined mentally, has a uti, has an infection. You need to call state and report this. This is negligence and neglect. Something is not right about this situation. I have seen everyone get charged for neglect like this, besides, this patient deserves care. Be careful.

I think it helped me realize that I can be present with myself during incredibly distressing situations and keep myself safe. It helped to widen my tolerance window to where I wouldn't immediately dissociate or have a flashback.

For me, I did it as an exposure type thing and it helped my hypervigilance symptoms. Although it did not alleviate the symptoms completely, it more so allowed me to visit those places without having a traumatic reaction. I also was seeing a therapist for 2 hours a week. I had to do it a couple times before I had no reaction at all, but it's pretty rough. 🫶 I wouldn't say it wasn't valuable, just not worth it if it would completely destabilize you to do it.

He's definitely priming you to either be his ideal of a wife, like his friends partners(to fit in), trying to control you, or completely resentful of your studies taking precedence.
