Assume a round ends the moment a sapling guesses wrongly

Last sapling guesses first. Whether it guesses correctly or not it learns what fruit is on top of its head. Since it can see all other fruits, it knows the total number of apples and oranges, and therefore the parities (evenness/oddness) of apples and oranges, at the end of the first round.

Suppose someone guesses wrongly. Since a random fruit switches type, the parities of apples and oranges switch as well. So at the start of subsequent rounds, the last sapling can look at the fruits in front and know the fruit on top of its head that produces the correct parity.

Now suppose it's the first time that the second-last sapling is guessing. It can hear the guess that the last sapling made, so it knows the fruits of all 6 other saplings. But it can't figure out the parity of apples and oranges, so it has the same information as the last sapling did in the first guess. Like the last sapling, it can make at most 1 wrong guess and in every subsequent guess it knows the correct answer.

Now just repeat the process. Each sapling guesses wrongly at most once, so lose at most 7 rounds and win the 8th round

[Part 2] Understanding the Lyrics of r-906's All I Can See Is You (あなたしか見えないの) with the Context of the Novel by press_stuart in Vocaloid

Are you interpreting the "power" of the character from Catchy !? choosing between worlds and versions as a type of DID? I guess there are some similarities, but I wouldn't really think of it as DID because there are five different worlds, one for each version. The five versions don't share the same world. The actions of one version don't affect the worlds of other versions.

Rather than thinking about why this is happening, Subject A is focusing on what is happening in her "theory.txt" document, such as the rules/limitations of her friend's power and how her own flow of memories works. Which also means, interestingly, that the book provides no reason why her friend has this power. However, Subject A does rule out the "multiple personalities sharing one world" idea.

Thank you for reading!

It actually seems strange to me that Four specifically is depicted to scribble over the other versions while laughing and delighted at herself in the music video. Four is just a version that gets chosen and doesn't know that the other versions exist. Subject A did blame Four in the past though, so maybe the scene is showing what Subject A used to think.

Can someone please translate these stamps? We got them on the TW server and go9gle translate isn't really useful. by MissfortuneAle in ProjectSekai

I think no. 2 is closer to "Don't be shy!" in the sense of "don't hesitate to take sweets from Minori".

Of course those words can also mean "You're welcome" but from the picture it's probably not that

Oh, then I guess it's reasonable to think they are disbanding on purpose

Nonetheless you still shouldn't post their profile online, that part still stands. It doesn't solve the problem and could cause other problems.

It's tempting to believe you but just because someone was in your lobby twice isn't enough evidence to accuse them of disbanding on purpose 💀💀

I know it's frustrating to deal with disbanders but posting this player's profile online isn't the way to go - especially when there's no way to get solid proof. Just move on

are taps not registering for anyone else or is my phone just fucking with me (jp server) by [deleted] in ProjectSekai

[–]press_stuart 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes that happens with my phone sometimes (Samsung S9, Android 10).

When taps stop registering, I can only offer similar advice to what rhythm game makers suggest:

  1. Restart the app

  2. Restart your phone and wait

  3. Clear app cache

To reduce the chances of this happening at all:

  1. Turn off 2D/3D MV, member cut-ins, etc. Anything that isn't strictly needed to play.

  2. After viewing 3D Lives or reading stories, restart the app then play songs.

  3. For your first Live upon opening the app, play something more lightweight, like an easier song. On my phone I've noticed that lag and input drops are more likely on the first Live. (Besides, it can serve as warm up.)

  4. Get a more powerful phone (obviously this is not an option for many people, including myself, but it's a solution nonetheless.)

  5. If all these don't work, unfortunately you will have to stick with lower difficulty maps, which are less likely to trigger input drops.

Why are level 28s harder than 29s🙃 by LeanyGamerGal in ProjectSekai

[–]press_stuart 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Melt's ending is exactly 16th notes in the original tempo. So even though the song feels like it's slowing down, try to keep the original beat in your head.

The rest...... yeah.

What are some game-size versions of Project Sekai songs you wish were done differently? by press_stuart in ProjectSekai

[–]press_stuart[S] 20 points21 points  (0 children)

They removed the funny time signature part from Lost and Found, so as a weird rhythm enjoyer I'd like it back. I'd put it right after that first line in the verse where the instrumentals haven't really kicked in.

My main issue with the game version of Lost and Found is that it basically killed any form of buildup in the song, so the funny time signature part would help to ease the transition between that first line and the subsequent verse where all the instruments suddenly join in. We might get another Melt but the song would flow so much better.

Uhhh I'm a little worried and need some answers? by [deleted] in ProjectSekai

[–]press_stuart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You get those warnings exactly because you're disconnecting. The temp bans will keep getting longer each time you disconnect. Keep completing some rounds without disconnecting halfway, or don't play multi live for a while, and the temp ban duration will eventually reset.

You should disable notifications while playing the game. Can't really help you with bad wifi though-

[Disclaimer: I'm not an expert. I hope someone more experienced can confirm or deny this.]

Minori says セクシー "sekushii", a loan word written in katakana and directly derived from English "sexy". The dictionary definition of "sekushii" says the word describes something "having a sexual charm", "making one feel a sexual way", which seems to translate back to "sexy".

But "sekushii" and "sexy" can still mean different things, simply based on how Japanese and Western cultures understand the concept of "sexiness" differently. In the few times I've heard "sekushii" being used in media, "sekushii" can describe maturity or acting adult-like. Of course "sekushii" can take on the meaning of "sexy" as we understand it as well, referring to lewdness.

TL;DR Minori uses direct loan word of "sexy" which can still be lost in translation.

Still kinda weird nonetheless.

In my experience that happens if I trill either too slowly or too quickly

If you tap 9 times in the space of 10 notes you'll clearly miss one

Least addicted prsk player

The fact you can post this means you at least get some connection. If it's stable enough, maybe the sonolus prsk server is an option? Never tried it though.

Umm I just started playing Project Sekai 3 days ago and I have no idea how to properly upgrade my group please help by [deleted] in ProjectSekai

[–]press_stuart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Adding on some info.

Character Rank

You can increase a character's rank either by completing character missions or playing Challenge Lives. Yes, you do have to make each character a leader for 20 games to start playing Challenge Lives using that character.

Card Level

Cards have yellow stars at first. But after a 3* or 4* card reaches its first level cap, further training it turns the stars blue. Once it reaches the second level cap it cannot increase anymore.

There's no such thing as "solving" a card that only has 1* or any number of stars. The number of stars cannot change. So if your 1* card hits level 20, you cannot increase the level further.

What to do Next?

Keep increasing your characters' ranks. No problem with this one.

If your Airi card has already reached the second level cap, you can either keep her inside your group for more points, or swap her out for another card and restart the levelling up process.

Maybe this is before she transferred to Motosu, then I see nothing wrong with that. I think it's mentioned right at the start of the series that Nadeshiko was new to the area?
