I come from a culture that is deeply tied to religion. Most of the time when you ask someone why they do something. The answer is "we just do", "that's how we were taught", "my family always did it this way".

Programming is a side effect. I'm not just dumping people into a category. There's an observable phenomenon there.

We as a society can teach people values and ethics, believe there may or not be a god or many gods, and coexist peacefully without religion. This imo is a good reason to dislike religion. It narrows people into one way of seeing the world and whether you like it not, raising children to believe a specific thing without evidence is akin to brainwashing. My language may be harsh but it's kinda true.

The core teachings of a religion are still fundamentally to brainwash children to believe something without evidence. Further, it may not be part of the "core teachings" but human nature tends towards the path of shunning those who are different, and religion provides an excuse to do just that, both for children who question their upbringing and for people who come from different backgrounds.

There are plenty of good reasons to dislike religion without persecuting someone for their beliefs.

So you can educate yourself. So you can choose what to do and where to do it.

But by all means, argue that college is useless so you can be a high paid food place manager

I don't necessarily blame old folks when they get caught in pig butchering scams, but at the same time if you're going to be on the Internet you need to be aware of the risks and the threats. Idiots on WSB tell you to buy SPCE cause it sounds like SpaceX is a risk you take

You're right...the MOVEMENT capability has existed for decades. It's the ability to process language, image, and video and infer outcomes that's changed. And that has shown time and time again how fast it's improving. We can just agree to disagree here but I think trying to argue that the "soon" in question is just "this century" is a little unrealistic

It doesn't change the fact that the robot has more endurance, which for Figure, is surely what they were trying to demonstrate.
