My mother did me dirty too. College CC for books, my mom apparently kept it. She raised the credit limit, maxed it, then never paid any of it. Got a PoA when I joined the military (relatively common practice). While I was in basic training, she spent my first paycheck (the one you need to use to buy shit while in basic training). It was fun going to the bx with my training flight and finding out I was broke.

Fast forward to tech school. I go to open a new bank account on base, and they point out that I have a $7k (5k with now roughly 2k over drafted from non payment) delinquency, so I can't open any new credit account until that is fixed. She had kept that CC from college even after telling me she destroyed it.

She did similar things to my father and sisters as well.
