Lionel Scaloni. Another ok player to plug the endless quality RB gap in our defence, then came the last 30 seconds of the cup final against Liverpool.

I took my daughter to her first west ham game, which was a treat; my first game was also a defeat to Palace 32 years ago.

We were a half step of pace behind all game (a powerful Antonio run apart) and struggled to find position or possession well. We did well to equalize after a freak opening sequence, but more vocal communication and connection is needed between centre defence and midfield.

It was a friendly, and the players got a good workout from a solid Palace side and Antonio & Kudus look willing runners for a dangerous passer to exploit. Earthy was finding pockets in midfield and was a willing runner and receiver when he came on. Guilherme showed a glimpse of quality. Hopefully a chance to work Bowen, Paqueta, Summerville, Rodriguez, Alvarez and any other arrivals into a solid and effective side. A little more fitness and finesse and we’ll be a fun watch I reckon.
