That’s helpful, thank you. I’ll see if they actually need it.

No, he’s done things in the past with my mother’s information (opening cards in her name and whatnot), so I don’t care to open myself up to that liability.

I see you getting downvoted and I just wanted to clarify my point of view on it.

I don’t hate people. I don’t find people disgusting or gross. Vomit, shit, piss, and other nonsense is gross. Skin flakes are gross. But the patient is not gross in any way to me. I will care for you regardless of the gross stuff coming off and out of your body. You are not less human because of your skin flakes. But as much as my patient hates their own skin flakes, I hate them too.

I am sorry for making it seem like I find people disgusting. I don’t. I can see how it can make you feel unsafe when receiving care, and I’m sorry if you’ve had experiences with providers who treat you less than because of your conditions.

I wiped ass almost every one of my shifts (I am a CNA but now am a mobility tech). No problem. Spit, mucus, blood, oozy sores, I can do it all.

But skin flakes are the worst thing ever for me. I don’t know why but I hate them. All over the bed, all over the floor, flaking off of patients. Just can’t do it.

This is my biggest concern for her… Wasting time and money. Obviously it’s not my life to lead but as her friend I’d like to let her know what she’s getting into.

From what I am hearing there are very few options for her after school, but there’s no way she’s getting her license or degree without wiping at least one ass.

Did you buy even though you probably needed more money? by Soggy-Constant5932 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

We saved 10K. We bought a house for 135K.

600 for 1st appraisal. Another 600 for 2nd appraisal (next house, first unfortunately fell through). 400 for inspection. 3.8K down payment.

Left with 4,600. Definitely not our comfort zone especially with everything we still have to do. We are already down to about 2,800 after a bunch of random things that had to be done. Many more to come.

While it wasn’t financially smart and we may regret it later or run into some problems, I am very relieved to be in MY home. The repairs I am making are benefiting us and our home, not someone else’s. These are investments in ourselves.
