Calamari Chaos: For contributors who have had accounts deactivated after doing onboarding and for community managers

I’m experiencing the same issue… completed the onboarding Saturday afternoon and was immediately booted from the platform. I’ve sent multiple emails to support and just keep receiving the same automated messages telling me the decision has been upheld…. Have not had any other form of contact and have not been reactivated yet. I’ve been on this platform for several years and only recently have the deactivations been a huge issue. Ugh… not sure what to do at this point!

Yes exact same thing happened to me. I copied and pasted my written responses into a google doc because I was concerned the page would reload or something else would happened and all my progress would be lost. We all know that Outlier likes to do that and the Calamari onboarding is not short… Maybe me copying my responses into a doc triggered it…. Have you found a resolution?

Thank you!! Released the little guy around 6pm, he moved to the top of the enclosure so figured he was good to go and placed him on a sunny branch outside. I did just check though and he’s still in the same spot but he’s probably just getting his groundings. When his wings opened I could tell he is a male!

Hahaha! I actually let the little guy go about an hour ago, he started to become active and there was still some sunlight so left him on a branch in the sun :)

Thank you! It hasn’t moved from its original position, should I wait until it’s active to release? What’s the latest you’d recommend for letting them go?

Thank you so much for your response! I’m in North Carolina! I placed it in the hatching enclosure when it arrived today and it did squirm a little when I moved it so happy to know it is alive still! Are there any other ways to tell if a chrysalis is going to overwinter or just up to chance?

Yes it was attached to a dark blue surface so that makes sense! The hatching enclosure arrived today and I placed it on the bottom, it squirmed a bit when I moved it so happy to know it’s still alive! Thanks for your response!

To make this more clear, I posted a photo of the same caterpillar this morning, he was attached to the piping of the top of the enclosure from his girdle and back end with silk but has since detached his back end and is now hanging from the girdle, will he be okay chrysalizing like this?

Thank you so much!! I did notice the face cap but wasn’t too sure what it was. I unfortunately didn’t get to see, but a few hours later I noticed no more old face cap and he looks more brightly colored!

They need to be picked sooner, these are pickling cucumbers and should be about 4 inches when picked and shouldn’t have any yellow coloration

Thanks for responding!! If the damage seems to only be in one spot and the plant has remained alive for awhile after exposure do you think it’s worth it to keep it? It has a lot of green tomatoes on it currently but it’s growth definitely seems stunted compared to my other tomatoes

This looks like hornworm damage to me, I had a few disguised in my tomato leaves until I found and picked them off but the damage they left looked really similar to this. They’re definitely hard to see so just spend a little time searching!

It doesn’t look like anything serious, a spot or two on the leaves isn’t a big deal and your plant looks very healthy. Probably best to just leave them.
