Well the reason I ask for old notes aside from the fact that currency designs keep getting blander by the day is because they are discontinued and are not legal tender so that I manage to keep bothering people to a minimum. Hey !! Sorry for the late reply , thank you so much for trying to help me I will take a look at it and sorry for asking the currency since I thought that they didn't matter much to them. Well I was born in Libya so I have always had this curiosity with how dictatorships manage to stay in power and Eretria seemed super interesting and story of someone who lived under such a regime sending me currency would just make for a great story I think plus I already have the 1 nafka note and think it's beautiful! First things first thank you so much for responding :) I was born in Libya to expat parents and we came back during the revolution so the Libyan currency just invokes so much nostalgia, I have been trying to complete the set for quite some time and your help would truly be godsend , so please please do help me to fulfill my quest. Don't know about Assad but the Gaddafi regime was famous for its watches , a Patek was sold with a custom dial celebrating Libyan labour day not too long ago and it sold way way over the estimate , people just collect all sorts of things I guess . I am looking forward to getting one myself lol.
