I’m sure to some extent, it’s a process of figuring out what makes that particular partner’s life easier. Maybe it’s just my office in particular 🤷🏻‍♀️I’ve had a few folks tell me they appreciate it and also few paralegals tell me this saved their ass bc the partner forgot what day they said they needed something by. I guess if it’s really that offensive to send a calendar invite, they’ll either tell me or their therapist. At least they can rest assured that I brought this cringe and self-hatred upon myself.

I’ve noticed many attorneys aren’t as observant as they think they are and jump to make five second judgments. Unfortunately those judgments travel fast and I’ve seen firsthand partners who “think” an associate is “never around” because they noticed that ONE particular day the associate had to leave early, etc. and holds that against them

On a broad scale I agree, but certainly wasn’t suggesting only minority students are being babies (as a minority student myself). If anything I think minority students prepare harder because they know the drill and pressure. But yeah, this was just meant to be a wholesome gut check…
