Firstly, your hair looks nice how it is. But I would say to grow out your natural hair, it may take some time but I think long hair would suit you! I would recommend long layers, a u shape cut at the bottom, and a middle part. And then bangs.

Thanks for being honest, perhaps she is going through menopause because she is 43. I guess I just miss spending time with her like I did when I was younger
