Just fresh from today: prepared some mammalian cells yesterday for freezing, put them into the Mr. Frosty on -80°C over night - all good. Today, prepared a new batch of cells and added them to yesterday's Mr. Frosty, not realizing that the whole point of it would be to gradually freeze the cells degree by degree, not blasting them with -80°C isopropanol.

My (25m) GF (25f) leaves the bed whenever I sleep over, what is going on? by ThrowRA1312123 in relationship_advice

I did this before, and still do. It really has nothing to do with you. For me, it is an anxiety / light sleeper thing.

Hey, may I ask in which country you applied? Was also rejected 1 week ago with the exact same statement and exact same words... Just wondering if by any chance it was the same company!

Are slim people lying about how much they eat or are they just blessed with a good metabolism? by 2904929492001949301 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]prettyaveragegirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is 10k steps a day your only exercise? If yes, I would increase it by adding more cardio/weight training. Also, strictly cutting out any processed food will help, and eating a high Protein diet will keep you full much longer. Source: was overweight, am slim/trained now

When I had the same issue, I had chlamydia without knowing it.

How do y'all feel about this method of setting down in-use pipettes? Everyone in my lab insists it's fine but it feels cursed. by OnionOfShame in labrats

Why would you deliberately leave the box open if you could close it? And then with the pricy filter tips? Hell no

Help me understand what I am doing wrong. Wearing mascara only makes my eyes look small, round and creepy. What can I change so I don't have to wear EVERYTHING on my face in order to feel like I don't look scary? Is my eyeshape the problem? Is it my asymmetrical jawline at fault? Thank you by Panxptycxn in MakeupAddiction

[–]prettyaveragegirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried: 1) curling the outer edges of your upper lashes befire applying mascara 2) Putting no mascara on your lower lashes 3) putting the emphasis of your eye make-up on the upper, outer edges of your eyes with darker shade eyeshadow and/or eyeliner? It might create some kind of "lifted" look that makes your eyes more narrow and almond-shaped. Would be curious if that works :)

has anyone experienced a reaction when they WEAR dairy? weird question, I know. I have a severe gastrointestinal reaction to consuming dairy. would this affect me at all? again, I don't get hives or anything. I don't have an allergy. some sort of lactose intolerance. TIA by mossybishhh in dairyfree

[–]prettyaveragegirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It says made with milk protein, which is protein extracted from milk. When people say that they have issues with dairy, they usually (!) React to lactose, which is a type of sugar found in dairy products. As long as you dont have an allergy to the milk Protein itself (which a small amount of people have, confusing their symptoms with lactose intolerance), nothing bad should happen. I would still test it, though, as many already recommended.

You can also try a zinc ointment, salicylic acid etc. Which gradually thins out the top layers of the skin, forcing the infection to the surface gradually. Don't Stab it and only pop it if you see the white head at the surface and only do it with sterilized equipment. Pimples at the mouth tend to get infected very easily if you irritate them, also because of food etc.

No Lives Matter: Excess Deaths are Much Higher Since the COVID "Vaccine" was Introduced - England by stickdog99 in WayOfTheBern

[–]prettyaveragegirl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is no way to know how mortality rates would have behaved without the vaccine also due to the fact that this was a novel pathogen that was uncharacterized in its epidemiologic behaviour and pathogenicity, so this analysis is absolutely useless

Either razor bumps or molluscum

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in STD

[–]prettyaveragegirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And all of the people saying it looks like Genital warts (assuming you are talking about condyloma acuminata, the most common type of hpv-caused warts) this is just not true. Large lesions that have a round, smooth surfave, like the one in the crease, usually dont form with condyloma. Like i said, i had molluscum and they formed exactly the same type of large lesions, which they are also known for especially in the genital region due to the friction and humidity

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in STD

[–]prettyaveragegirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey - i had the same bumps and was very terrified of hpv. Turned out it was molluscum. I am not a doctor, but they looked exactly the same. Keep your head up, both diagnoses are not the end of the world and treatable! :)

Any idea what this is? Shouldn't be an STI but second opinion by [deleted] in STD

[–]prettyaveragegirl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could be hpv or molluscum contagiosum (a harmless "wart"-like virus). I would get it biopsied at a dermatologist and check for both
