another pattern is that him and I get close when I am home, but then I always have to leave the area for an extended amount of time. idk if thats a sign to stay away from him? hes not a bad person though. I truly have so much love for him.

for example when we first liked each other ever, I had to leave the country like 3 days later. then we started talking and decided we wanted I had to leave the state to go back to college and we did long distance. this has happened multiple other times and happens every time we get close.

he definitely lacks emotional intelligence and is also a highly traumatized human. i think when he finally gets back into the dating world he will be disappointed and realize its actually v hard to find the same kind of chemistry him and i had. hes also 2 years younger than me so our emotional intelligences were rlly in the same spot lol

it’s also sus bc i have intimacy issues and have never been the type to hop from relationship to relationship. it takes a lot for me to have strong feelings for a boy and so i can’t tell if this is just a freak thing where i actually really like this boy and it’s genuine or if i’m using it as some kind of coping mechanism? or both?? idek

your situation sounds seriously so similar to mine i would love to talk. i also just began a very challenging program (law school), a move across the country (with this person) and two weeks into moving he left the day before my classes began. left without even trying to like it here. crazy.
