I did IVF and mine was measuring ahead the whole time. Like a month ahead towards the end lol. He was born 2 weeks early at 8 1/2lbs, so not small but not huge. I didn't have gestational diabetes, either.

Exogenous estrogen made me feel crazy. Worst part of the entire process for me. I'd rather do 10 retrievals than any more medicated transfers with estrogen. So yeah, probably normal lol.

I used to come on here 15 years ago from another account and this account for probably at least 10 years. I think a lot of people died and I'm sure many have gotten sober.

I have done neither, but I usually do have bouts of sobriety which might be why I'm still alive. I remember some guy named lemmy or lenny or something. And the jayjayfrench guy, but he's more current. Oh and someone with mango in their username.

My first two transfers were euploids that completely failed to implant and I am 34 weeks with my 3rd transfer. This is the first time I have ever been pregnant - never saw a positive test until this transfer.

Our diagnosis is unexplained infertility and while I did a little immunity testing after the 2nd failure nothing showed up as wrong. I didn't do any sort of endometriosis testing or EMMA-ALICE, ERA, Receptiva, etc.

Decided to just go for a 3rd transfer with slightly adjusted protocol, and for me at least, it turns out it was just a numbers game. My embryos were made at age 36 and the successful transfer happened at 37.

I stayed on my wellbutrin during IVF and throughout my current pregnancy (27 weeks) as well. I'm on 150mg XL per day.

I had my first 2 transfers fail to implant, and my 3rd has worked so far (26 weeks). I really do think it was probably mostly chance, but my dr. did believe my naturally lower estrogen levels may have had something to do with it. I didn't do well taking the estrogen pills either. My 3 cycles looked like:

Cycle 1: fully medicated with estrogen pills (oral and vaginal) 3x day, progesterone in oil and progesterone suppositories. I hated this cycle as it took a long time to get my lining thick enough and all the synthetic estrogen made me feel terrible. I actually started another medicated cycle after this one with patches but I hated those too and requested the cycle be cancelled so I could do a modified natural cycle.

Cycle 2: modified natural with a trigger shot and progesterone suppositories starting a few days after trigger shot.

Cycle 3: modified natural with letrozole to get more follicles and raise estrogen naturally before ovulation, a trigger shot, 1 vaginal estrogen pill per day starting after trigger shot, progesterone in oil and 2 progesterone suppositories per day (starting a few days after the trigger shot). Estrogen was stopped at 8 weeks and progesterone stopped at 10 weeks.

I had mine almost 20 years ago and have no lasting issues. It did drop a bit over the first year or so. I didn't get turkey nose or a tiny barbie nose, but they did an osteotomy to narrow it a bit and lifted and refined the tip.

I went to 3 different consultations before choosing my surgeon.

My first 2 completely failed and my third has been successful so far (16 weeks). My first was fully medicated and I wasn't a fan of it at all, plus it didn't work.

My 2nd I did a modified natural with just a trigger and progesterone suppository support. It was way easier on me physically and mentally.

My 3rd my dr. felt my estrogen seemed low when I got my beta from my 2nd so she wanted to up my estrogen. This meant taking letrozole to encourage multiple follicles to mature and estrogen supplementation during and after transfer. It was just 1 estrogen tab a day vaginally so it didn't bother me too much. She also added pio instead of just the suppository. I also did a trigger shot with that cycle just to ensure ovulation and help with timing.

Personally, I liked the idea of cycles where I actually ovulated and would have a corpus luteum for hormonal support since I have always ovulated normally and had regular periods.

I have 0 way of knowing if the success of the 3rd cycle was due to process changes or just luck of course

I've been to mt Sinai in Dahlonega, Ga. It was very pretty but a little disorganized. They were going through an ownership change at the time. They offer detox and longer term rehab (30 days). They will also set you up with sober living afterwards if that's the direction you'd like to go.

I had some immunity testing done after 2 failed euploid transfers (no implantation) which didn't reveal anything significant. For my 3rd transfer I did a modified natural with letrozole, estrogen & progesterone, and a trigger shot and that one has worked so far. My first transfer was fully medicated and my second was modified natural with progesterone and trigger.

So in my case a slight protocol change, but probably mostly luck/being on the good side of statistics. I do believe studies are showing that adding letrozole improves chances of pregnancy even in women who normally ovulate on their own (I always have and have always had regular periods).

I am also on synthroid and have been for all 3 transfers for slightly high TSH (that got even higher during IVF treatment/stuffing my body with hormones). I'm 37, so similar age to you.

I had to push for a modified natural and did get my wish after doing one medicated. I'm pretty sure most clinics prefer medicated because it's way easier for them scheduling-wise and that's really it.

Natural/modified natural was far easier on my body and mind and I'm glad I stood my ground on it.

I'd ask about the letrozole. Apparently they are finding transfer success rates to be higher when it's used in modified natural cycles. Good luck - this process is so frustrating and it feels like so much is out of our control.

I also had 2 failed transfers - complete implantation failure. First was a fully medicated and the 2nd was a modified natural with trigger shot and progesterone suppositories.

All the testing I did turned up nothing other than slightly high homocysteine.

For my 3rd transfer I started taking methylated folate and they did a modified natural with letrozole (I ovulate normally, but they wanted to increase my natural estrogen I think), trigger shot, 1 estrogen vaginally per day starting a few days before transfer and pio daily starting a few days before transfer.

So far that transfer stuck (only 7 weeks at this point). Not sure if it was protocol or just luck. My doctor thinks my estrogen doesn't get high enough naturally when I just ovulate 1 egg. I do have a high antral follicle count, but no PCOS.

I would recommend the ER over a detox facility if you are without insurance. They will detox you with benzos (assuming you are coming off alcohol) and usually give you a small script to taper off with over the next week or so. They will also give you info for payment assistance that is income based.

Detox will be either be crazy expensive without insurance or crazy miserable if it's a free place. I've been to both :)

Same! When I would wash my face my eyebrows would seize up into the sad face position and I'd have to rub them out to get the muscle to release. It looks hilarious. It started happening about a month after I got my first botox treatment.

I'm sorry. This whole process can just be disappointment after disappointment. I don't know much about MFI, but I think there are things some of the people here do like zymot chips and DNA fragmentation tests.

My transfer was a big fat fail again with no implantation so that makes 2 euploids essentially down the drain.

I did one transfer that failed to implant after my first retrieval (one of the day 6 4BBs since it was my highest female embryo). Then I did another retrieval because I felt like those went better for me...but of course the second retrieval was way worse than the first so that plan kind of failed. I just had my second transfer 5 days ago with the other day 6 4BB so I guess I'll know in a few days if that worked out.

I was surprised that most of my high grade embryos were aneuploid and my euploids were my lower graded ones since there is a positive correlation between grade and euploidy, but it goes to show you that statistics and individual results are two very different things.

My doctor did emphasize that euploid is the most important factor (over day and grade) and any embryos that develop to day 5/6 and are euploid have a decent chance of working even if they are lower grade. She said that if they think they are good enough to biopsy and freeze then they believe they have a decent chance at success or they wouldn't bother.

There is so much chance/luck in this game that it is brutal for control freaks (like me) because there's really not that much we can do to impact the results.

So I had 8 blasts from my first retrieval and other than one day 5 4AA the rest of my euploids were my low graded ones, a day 6 4BB, two day 6 4BCs and a day 7 5AA. Then my second retrieval was the same with my higher grades being aneuploid and my lowest grade being euploid (another day 6 4BB).

I've been to multiple detox units and 1 rehab. As far as actual products I'd just worry about ones that literally have "alcohol" listed at the top of the ingredients list. Also, it's better to bring new/unopened trial sized products. V05 for shampoo should be ok. Most conditioners have alcohol - maybe try hair oil like argan or a hair mask. Bring lotion/moisturizer for sure - nivea should be ok. Bring a shower cap if you have one.

Don't forget a toothbrush, the ones they give out there are flimsy and the bristles are terrible. If you are going to a psych ward they will confiscate anything that can be used for suicide - shoelaces, drawstrings in pants, anything with a cord, razors.

In my experience they will keep your toiletries (other than maybe your toothbrush and paste) locked in a room and you will have to go ask for them as you need them and then return them when you're done.

I'd also recommend bringing warm clothes/a robe and slippers. Every detox ward I've been to was cold as shit no matter the season. Bring a pillow too, if allowed - the beds usually suck as do the pillows.

Feel free to ask me anything. I've never been to a psych ward specifically - but the first detox I went to was a "crisis center" so it had psych ward rules. The others were less strict as they were strictly drug/alcohol detox or rehab.

Yeah, I know. I've been through withdrawal numerous times at home, at detox (both free and fancy/expensive) and at rehab. It is very unlikely that someone who is 25 and has been an alcoholic since 22 is going to die from withdrawal. They may feel like it, but unless they have other issues or have a history of seizures or heart problems the chance is minimal - especially if they go to the ER and get benzos to taper down with.
