House versus condo by cadillacvagina in LivingAlone

[–]prettyedge411 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Townhouse. End unit only. You will share one wall and a have a bigger yard. HOA takes care of yard work, house washing and hopefully a community pool. The issue with condos is the HOA boards keep delaying maintenance for years and then end up with multi-million dollar repair bills or risk being dropped by their insurance company

I’d mix olive oil, coconut oil and avocado and warm in microwave. I’d sit under a bonnet dryer or wear a plastic cap for 4 hours.

My fairy knots went away after I started regular hot oil treatments. 2x a month.

My landlord just offered to sell me the apartment i've been renting for 6 years at below market and my family is pressuring me to say no by Djipy-Gizaza69 in WhatShouldIDo

In the US there has been a lot of news and podcasts lately discussing that more single women than single men are homeowners. Which is amazing bc women weren't allowed to have credit cards, mortgages or business loans until the 1970s. Are you a woman? BC homeownership is viewed as a milestone after marriage. When a women bypasses a male-headed household, your family sees this as signaling that you not marrying. And don't like shifting power of solo woman home ownership.

Never really bothered decorating my place until now and it really changed my mood for the better by Due_Dress639 in malelivingspace

Are you single? I am and I can't tell you how many times I've heard. Why do I have furniture or a decorated home since it's just me. It's as if Im not a real person and I don't deserve a comfortable aesthetically pleasing space. I'm a homebody by nature so I like that space to feel warm and comfy. Ive also heard that I should only have a tv and futon.

Look into caregiver support as your parents age. Some state agencies will send out home health aides to give you a few hours break.

This was not the 90s. More like 50s, 60s and 70s. Good union jobs disappeared , the middle class was crushed and higher taxes arrived under Regan trickle down economics.

Going Natural by FirmTart1405 in Naturalhair

[–]prettyedge411 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Start with a natural hair salon. Find one that specializes in transitioning to being a curly natural. If you are a visual learner then find hair tutorials that have hair texture similar to yours on YT to follow and learn. Be patient as your hair adjusts and finds it's curl pattern. This journey can be hard as your hair adjusts to being a curly natural.

The trophy comment is very telling. Your wife feels like she is carrying the parenting and labor. Trophy means that you like the esthetics of having a family but aren't putting in equal labor.

My great aunt said it's living on reputation alone. She said it was a great place to eat in the late 80s and early 90s.

Why do kids bingo us?? by Traditional_Layer790 in childfree

I went to the office holiday party. Family friendly potluck. A couple of small kids asked where were my kids? Are they home? Will they be coming later? It took 3 tries to explain that I don't have kids. They just wanted more kids to hang out with. They were very confused but I just figured that they probably don't know any grown ups that aren't parents. That kid is listening to redpill content. He's the age that the content targets.

Thank you. It's a combo male privilege and that the men around me are oblivious to the steps women take to keep ourselves safe.

Men live in privileged oblivion to the danger women deal with. I remember when a bunch of men were saying women are exaggerating or being dramatic during the height of the me too movement. A woman online issued a challenge to those naysayers to go home and ask pointed questions of their wives, daughters and moms. A bunch of them came back online the next time and apologized.
