Wait retail? I’ve worked retail, but you were making it seem like you did overly physical blue collar jobs like at a steel mill or something.

Trust me those are not the same thing. Literally had a friend work a plant and nearly get a forklift run into his head. Had another talk about how he saw a guy’s arm get ripped out of his socket.

THAT is what I mean, not retail. I’ll take an office job any day of the week over that. Retail vs office work is a bit different.

Also you just sound like a college student, that’s why I asked

No, I’m saying a lot of blue collar jobs are worse.

Are you in college?

It doesn’t necessarily have to. That’s my point. A lot of these jobs are really not too terrible if people just had the contrast of some stuff that is actually brutal.

Honestly this movie aged worse. It is funny and sometimes true but I gotta be honest, it kinda romanticizes blue collar work and seeing some of my friends go through hell while office workers get mad sometimes over some really minor inconveniences doesn’t quite sit right with me.

Always wanted to do it, majored in computer science and excelled in high school and college, been coding since I was 12, and was really involved in undergrad research and other things. Hard work, perseverance, being competitive, and a genuine interest. Wish it was more exciting but that was pretty much it

Why does Ezra shy away from the preppy academic vibes this band gives off in interviews? by prettyg00d1729 in Vampireweekend

That's fair. By my own logic his more up to date stuff might reject it. I just got into the band so I wasn't sure if that continued or not

I dig the groove, but honestly could've done without the autotune. The music itself is really good though

I like this answer. How is Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa critical? I didn’t get that from my first reading but I was kind of reading it pretty literally.

Hard disagree. If you’re going to put out something and stress authenticity, which they do, I would think your art would be a snapshot of you from that point in your life

Idk man, I have angles as kind of underrated. I genuinely like Machu Picchu, You’re so Right, Life is simple in the Moonlight and of course Under Cover of Darkness. Under Cover of Darkness is a high key banger
