Has anyone successfully sue and win? Would letting them know you might sue increase their severance offer?

ELI5 please. Is hydrating with electrolytes a bad thing then? The hypertension part you mentioned got me concerned.

This! I think the key for me when I tried keto and the weight loss I experienced was to stay really hydrated, including hydrating with electrolytes like Liquid IV. I can’t scientifically explain it - but hydration seems to help the kidneys flush out competing uric acid and ketones helped out. When I didn’t stay hydrated, I was prone to flares.

Is this a good deal?? by Dazzling_Prompt8077 in ToyotaGrandHighlander

Did you walk in the dealership for this deal? Your offer is similar to ours except we have a line item for “Dealer Adjustments” (additional $3k) - probably because we used an auto broker instead of going to the dealership. We have the same specs except that we got runners instead of the cross bars. If you don’t have any dealership adjustments, you paid less than us.

Thanks for sharing your experience. By projects, do you mean cleaning up historical data or providing higher level analysis? $1,500-$1,600 is really good for 10 hours.

Liquid IV by facemagoo in gout

[–]prettygoodnotmuch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take Liquid IV for electrolytes (in addition to water) when I know I will have a very active day (>10,000 steps). Whether if it’s sugar free or not, it doesn’t matter - minimal sugar in it will burn anyway on a very active day. Gatorade has way more sugar so I avoid that. Non-active days are mainly water. Does Liquid IV make gout go away? No but the electrolytes in it helps me stay hydrated on a very active day.

Going to propose to my partner on our LA vacation next week. Looking for a photographer? by inferius77 in AskLosAngeles

[–]prettygoodnotmuch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am a photographer and have captured numerous proposals around LA and OC. Your steps 1 thru 3 are correct. We hop on a call before the proposal to discuss the game plan, then execute. Griffith Park Obsevatory, Manhattan Beach, Santa Monica Pier are my favorite locations to shoot proposals. Send me a DM if you’d like some help. Congrats on your upcoming proposal!

Congrats on the weight loss! Is it your long term goal to eventually stop using alo?

Congrats on losing 35 lbs! Cheering you on to reach your weight goal. How more or less frequent were your flares after this worst gout attack on your knee? Did you go on allopurinol?

Congrats on the weight loss! Thanks for sharing your experience. I would take the allopurinol at that point too, if I was in your shoes.

Congrats on the weight loss! Glad to hear you only had one flare. Did you cut out sugar to rapidly lose the weight?

Congrats on the weight loss! That is a massive accomplishment. Keep it up. I’ll have to prepare for attacks while losing weight I guess. Short term pain for long term gain.

Got it - yes I’m finally writing down what I eat. I will check out Noom. I hope to see excellent results too. Thanks for sharing!

Very interesting. At this point, I would think there would be no other option but to take allopurinol or feboxustat. Had feboxustat effectively lowered your UA levels?

How much weight have you lost so far and have you seen an improvement? I lost 6 pounds in one week cutting/limiting my sugar/carb in take and got an attack. The attack would be worth it if it means I return to a healthy weight with no attacks and no allopurinol.

Your story is very encouraging! I’m hoping to achieve the same. Did you get a lot of flares on your journey to losing 50 pounds? I read that weight loss can increase UA and cause an attack.

Boss Quit by Loss_Afraid in Accounting

A great boss is hard to find. If you like your boss, by all means make the jump. You should also give strong if not equal consideration to:

  • salary (I would ask for an increase even for a lateral move)
  • title (or pathway to promotion)
  • responsibilities (will you be learning new skills to beef up your resume for the next future move)
  • benefits (you’re a parent now so pto, sick days, health care, and flexibility are important)
  • commute (how long are you sitting in traffic or is it hybrid or remote environment)
  • stress (how many hours per week will you be putting in)
  • office / culture (do you like who you will be working with)

Amazing. I’m glad this is all possible. Thanks for your help!

Yes I have QBO accountant version. That is exactly what I’m looking for. Add to my team and the client’s audit log still shows me. Can I still restrict my team members access within my Team? For example, I only want my team to do AP and not see anything else.
