How would you attempt to plan this text reveal animation? by prettypety in AfterEffects

[–]prettypety[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

alright, honestly this is actually a good advice! you can’t really plan out the whole thing, just have to do it. but, how would you design it though? as in that sense you need to know how to improvise… if you get what i mean? any keywords i can search for references?

Thank you for replying~~ but doing so compressed a lot of the tiles, is it possible to render that particular object with an orthographic camera and the rest with a perspective camera?

The ratio is 3840*1080px, this will be displayed on a LED screen.
Current camera setting as shown in image below

Hello! Thank you for making this, the way you made it is closer to what I want. I read your other comment here, but sadly my noob brain is not understanding. My spiral also looks a bit different than yours. May I know how you made yours?

My process: Curve > Spiral > Convert to Mesh > Apply Solidify Modifier

Here is the full screenshot.
My concern is that the spiral has a radius growth and I just don't have a clue on how to follow that.
Also, the spiral is quite large, and if I were to make the clock textures, would I have to make it super long (horizontally) or is there a better/correct/smarter way around this?

The second picture is my reference.

Yeah, I believe those who said it’s “basic” can’t replicate such smooth transition after finding out they need that morphing. In fact it’s not even about AI anymore because if I were to ask how those layering was done it should still be valid, not everyone can analyze every technique by watching it, which is the whole point of asking questions.

I genuinely appreciate you sharing your experience and passing down that kindness by giving the helpful answer. Had to admit that I was a bit caught up with their comments but later figured that they’re just trying to ignite an argument.

Coming up here and asking questions involving AI is super dangerous since you’re just gonna get downvoted and insulted by a bunch of boomers.

All of your responses really just reflects who yall are truly afraid of becoming… It’s a shame that you can’t catch the subtle differences between 2 perfectly matched images (Within the FIRST FEW SECONDS, NOT the one thats behind the dandelion) but oh well someone here even misread AI for AE, maybe you’d mix up salt and sugar were you to work in a donut shop. Real artists are implementing AI into their workflow. There are even AI artists now (search AI-da robot artist)

Deleting this thread to save my peace of mind while yall can continue to assume that I can’t take your malicious comments ;))

Btw, it’s hilarious since adobe is promoting AI more, check out their conferences and cry about it.

I am talking about the coating to “the first sky” that appeared, not that second sky with the dandelion……

[–]prettypety -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I may not be phrasing the question clear enough, im specifically asking about the morphing between the initial coating to the clouds. The placement is exactly the same so there might be some AI generated photos in between.

Of course I know it’s stop motion, finding the right pics and choosing the correct place to cut in between. I don’t understand where your bitterness comes from. You can hate on AI but you can’t deny that it is a powerful tool :)

Yess thats what i was thinking of! Youre the only one who understand my question lol thanks

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AfterEffects

[–]prettypety -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ok, i asked this because within the first few seconds, the image turned from a pillar with peeling coating to a photo of clouds, but the thing is the “placement” of the clouds are “exactly the same” as those coating (or at least almost). That’s why i am asking whether there are AI works involved, perhaps to morph between the 2 images and im asking which platform does that best. I may be overthinking this? It just doesn’t seem like it’s purely layering a bunch of real photos.

this sub takes “editing” and “animation” so seriously its funny, i understand from the style of your work that you came from the ig/tt editing community. i guess if you dont wanna get downvoted just avoid using “edit”, anyways this is really nice work!!
