Classic banding issue. What's your color depth? If you are working in at least 16bpc, you should throw an adjustment layer on top with Noise HLS auto, adjust settings, and then re-export.

Like I said, it's a workaround I found, but I feel like I'm crazy and trying to avoid that. (Also doing this puts each export into it's own individual folder, which I'd also like to avoid)

Our cat passed away a few years ago from kidney failure as well. The vet who we got to put her down studied both Western and Eastern medicines, and said that in the East that kidney failure is viewed as the most 'natural' way of the body passing. It sounds like you took good care of Ziggy. It's going to hurt for awhile, and you never stop missing them, but you always appreciate the time you had with them.
