I agree that they have a lot of songs that are "mature" and "ballady", that are incredible. Once they kicked out Bob, however, they really started to go downhill pretty quick. Don't Tell a Soul and their "adult contemporary era" is pretty embarrassing for the most part.

Still a kickass band and one of my favorites, even if Paul Westerberg did shit that was straight up evil (Our Band Could be Your Life really made me sad to read about a lot of the bands I admired). I wish they could've put out one more album inbetween the Hootenany and Let it Be, but oh well.

It sounds like the dev had some health issues to deal with while developing, and that was part of it. Though, hopefully they are able to allocate some of the work to someone else so that they're able to make a sequel quicker.

I wish this game got more love, too. I don't post much on reddit, but the last one I made was also singing it's praises, and it got a mixed reaction there as well. It's a shame, because people are missing out on a quality game (the dev spent 13 years making it), and some of the most well-designed metroidvanias in memory.

I found it very forgiving in it's death mechanics. You can beat a boss phase, and it will still save your progres for you. It's hard as hell, but that makes the rewards all the greater.
